Appropriately,theresearchers’ 

apparatusfortheirexperimentwasthaticonofsinfulactivity,thegamblingdie.Theywantedtofindoutwhetherpeopleweremorelikelytolieabouttheresultofadierollwhenaskedthatresultimmediately,orwhengiventimetothink.
