Abstract:

F.ScottFitzgerald,iswidelyconsideredastheliteraryspokesmanofthe“AmericanDream”.Hisnovelsincludemanyaspectsofhisuniqueexperiencesinthatperiodoftime.Itisnoteasytodistinguishbetweenhisnovelandreallife,whichhasbeeninvolvedinhisbodyandspiritinit.Especiallyinhismasterpiece,thegreatGatsby,whichwaspublishedin1925.Inthenovel,theherorevealsthetypicalexamplesofthosewhoaspiretopursuetheAmericandream,butattheendoftheirownsacrifice.Althoughhedreamsofmaterialwealthandlovethroughhiscourageandhardwork,allthefactorsfromtheoutsideworldandhisdreamofindelibleleadstoitsdisillusionment.Thecharacteristicsofthedevelopmentandheroesofthestory,FitzgeraldelaboratedthedisillusionmentofAmericandreamvividpicture.

摘要:

著名作家菲兹杰拉德被誉为“美国梦的代言人”，每次当我们阅读他的小说，都会使人产生一种错觉，难以区分现实与小说情节，小说的内容是他真实生活的写照，现实与小说完全融为一体。

在《了不起的盖茨比》中，主人公盖茨为美国梦不懈奋斗，甚至不惜以牺牲自己为代价，始终渴望通过自己坚定的信念获得自己想要的物质和爱情生活，但这只是一场梦，脱离了现实的一场梦境，最终是无法实现的，文章中以时间的发展为主线，对不同人物的性格进行分析，最终阐述了这一梦想破灭的多种原因。
