At16,Ijustmadetheminimumagecriteriaforrunningthemarathon.IknewIcould—andshould—raisemoneytoaddresstheenvironmentalproblemsthatdisturbthechildrenofdevelopingcountries.Ihadneverrunmorethan7miles,butIknewthatrunning26.2mileswouldnotcomparetothepainandsufferingthosechildrengothroughonadailybasis.
