1.ToverifythatuponreceiptofanASSIGNMENTCOMMAND,theMSswitchestothechanneldefinedintheASSIGNMENTCOMMAND,establishesthelinkandsendsanASSIGNMENTCOMPLETEmessage.ThisistestedforanMSsupportingTCHinthespecialcasesofatransition.

3.Toverifythat,ifanMSsupportingTCHhasreceivedanASSIGNMENTCOMMANDmessagewhichcontainsonlythedescriptionofachanneltobeusedafterthestartingtime,andifthestartingtimehasnotalreadyelapsed,themobilestationshallwaituptothestartingtimebeforeaccessingthechannel.

4.ToverifythatanMSsupportingTCH,havingreceivedanASSIGNMENTCOMMAND,havingsentanSABMframetoestablishthemainsignallinglinkontheassignedchannel,reportsthepowerlevelspecifiedintheASSIGNMENTCOMMANDmessage,intheuplinkSACCHL1headeroftheSACCHmessagesentintheSACCHperiodfollowingthetransmissionoftheSABMframe.

5.ToverifythatanMSsupportingTCH,havingreceivedanASSIGNMENTCOMMAND,isableinthecaseoffrequencyhoppingtodecodetheMobileAllocationandFrequencyListIEscorrectlyandappliesthespecifiedfrequenciesusingthecorrectCellAllocation.

6.ToverifythatafterreceiptoftheASSIGNMENTCOMMANDtheMSreturnsanASSIGNMENTCOMPLETEwithoutunduedelay.

TheSSpagestheMSandallocatesanSDCCH.Then2differentchannelsareassignedwithASSIGNMENTCOMMANDs.EachtimetheMSshallswitchtotheassignedchannel,establishthelinkandsendanASSIGNMENTCOMPLETEmessage.

ThentheSSsendsaAUTHENTICATIONREQUESTmessage.TheMSshallanswerwithanAUTHENTICATIONRESPONSEmessage,whichisnotacknowledgedonL2bytheSS.ImmediatelyaftertheAUTHENTICATIONRESPONSEmessageisreceived,theSSsendsanASSIGNMENTCOMMAND.TheMSshallswitchtotheassignedchannel,establishthelinkwiththecommandedpowerlevelandsendasASSIGNMENTCOMPLETEmessage.ThenMSshallrepeattheAUTHENTICATIONRESPONSEmessage,withthesameN（SD）value.

ThentheSSsendsanASSIGNMENTCOMMAND,whichincludesaStartingTimeIE.TheMSshallreactasspecifiedabove,butthisshallbedoneatthetimespecifiedinStartingTimeIE.

ForanMSnotsupportingTCH/H,theSSinitiatesthechannelreleaseprocedureandthetestendshere.ForanMSsupportingTCH/H,thechannelassignmentprocedureisperformedanotherthreetimes,withhalfratechannelsinvolved,andagainitischeckedthattheMScorrectlycompletestheprocedures,beforetheSSinitiatesthechannelreleaseprocedure.
