Thebackground,thedomesticandforeignpresentsituations,thesignificanceandthecontentofIEC61850areintroducedinthispaper,theanalysisofIEC61850standard’smodelingprocessaredescribed.Firstly,basedonthefunctionfreedistributionandtheassignmentconceptofIEC61850,theprotection,measurementandthecontrolunitareseparatedandtherespectivefunctionisdescribebythelogicalnode.Secondly,accordingtothemodelingapproachandprinciplebasedonIEC61850,thetypicalprotection,measurementandthecontrollogicalnodesaretakenasexamplestocompletemodelingoflogicalnodeswithUML.Atlast,theflowchartofthefunctionrealizationisdescribedandtheflowofthefunctionrealizationisdiscussed.
Inthisfoundation,thetransformerdifferentialprotectionIEDistakenasanexampletoshowtheconfigurationprocessofitslogicalequipmentandthelogicalnode.
