IntheUnitedStates84collegesnowacceptjustwomen.Mostofthemwereestablishedinthe19thcentury;theyweredesignedtoofferwomentheeducationtheycouldnotreceiveanywhereelse.Atthattimemajoruniversitiesandcollegesacceptedonlymen.Inthepast20yearsmanyyoungwomenhavechosentostudyatcollegesthatacceptbothmenandwomen.Asaresultsomewomen'scollegesdecidedtoacceptmenstudentstoo.Others,however,refusedtochange.Nowtheseschoolsarepopularagain.
