论童话故事《小王子》的象征创作

圣-埃克絮佩里的《小王子》自发表以来,深受全世界孩子的喜爱,也是一部不可多得的适合成人阅读的童话故事。
对《小王子》的研究有很多方面,例如:
作品背景,作者的双重形象,象征创作等等。
本文通过案例分析法、归纳法、文本分析法对《小王子》进行分析,深入探讨各个意象中的象征意义,从时代背景个性理解象征的内在含义,同时,通过分析象征中的意象可以理解其中的哲理。
整部作品由一个个或直白、或隐晦、或复杂的象征组成,向读者展示了作者的人生智慧。

ThesymbolresearchstartedinancientGreeceperiod,lastingtwothousandyears.Thestudyofwesternsymboltheoryhasfourstages:
ThebuddingperiodofancientGreece,Medievalone-sideddevelopmentstage,thecharacteristicdevelopmentofthe18thandthe19thcentury,Diversifieddevelopmentstageinthelate19thcenturyandearly20thcentury.Inlate19century,theEuropeanintellectualsdissatisfiedwiththetemporalsociallifeandtheofficialsalonculture.Theyusedsymbolstomakeupanotheridealworldtoexpresstheirfeelings.Thatwashowthemodernsymbolismcameintobeing.In1886,JeanMoreas,aFrenchpoet,publishedabookTheDeclarationofSymbolism,whichsymbolizedthenaissanceoftheSymbolismGenre.CharlesBaudelaire,ArthurRimbaud,Verlaineweresymbolismpioneers.Theypublishedagreatdealofsymbolismworks.Theresearchofsymbolhadbeencoverednumerousfieldsfromlinguisticstopsychology,poetics,philosophy,anthropologyandsoon,appearingthesituationofinterdisciplinaryresearch.
Intheearly20s,intheriseofChina’snewliterature,Modernsymbolismworkshadbeenintroducedinquantity.In1920,MaoDunbegantointroduceandtranslatemodernsymbolismliteratures.Similarly,LuXunhadasymbolofcreativepracticeaftertheMay4thMovement.During1926,symbolismhadbeenpresented.Brieflyconcludedthatthedevelopmentoftheoryofsymbolizationexperiencethreestages:
buddingoccurs,tortuousdevelopmentandhardinnovation.
SincetheadventofTheLittlePrince,praisedas“TheFrenchRose”,ithasbeenlovedbychildrenandadults.Nowadays,manyauthorshaveelaboratedtheconnotationofTheLittlePrinceindifferentpointsofview,suchastheviewof“lifephilosophyandmodernsignificance”,“loveandresponsibility”,“therelationshipofchildrenandadults”.In1967,Paulstudiedthelifeanddeathofthelittleprince.Hethoughtthatthelittleprince’slivinganddeathsymbolizedthelifeexperienceofAntoinedeSaint-Exupé

beingawayfromthealienationandreturningtonature.In2005,LiaoShashauncoveredthepracticalsignificanceofTheLittlePrince,puttingforwardthatitreflectedtheproblemsofthetimesofhumansocietyinsecondworldwarbyapplyingsymbolism.Nevertheless,JiangYaminanalyzedthisfairytaleintheaspectofexploringlove,strengtheningloveofescapeandreturn.
Asthetimewentby,thestudyofsymbolicwritingtendstobemature.Manyaspectsarestudieddeeply.Forexample,thehistoryofsymbolicwritinghasbeenstudiedformanytimes.Thepurposeofthesymbolisalsoresearchedwidely.However,thefunctionofthesymbolcanbeinvestigated.Infutureresearch,wecanstudytheimages’rolestopromotetheresearchprogress.
3.TwoKindsofSymbolicWritinginDifferentLevels
EverysinglesymbolinTheLittlePrincecontainsabundantmeaning.Accordingtothesymbolofobjectivecorrespondingscale,therearetwoclasses:
thesymbolicmeaningofphysicalworldandthatofmentalworld.Andtheformerincludestwolevels.Thefirstlevelisthestraightforwardandtransparentsymbolicmeaning,andthesecondoneisthecomplexanddifficultsymbolicmeaning.Inthefirstlevel,theking,thedrunkard,thebusinessman,thelamplighter,andthegeographerareflatcharacters.Theycanbelabeledeasily,sothesesymbolsareeasytobeunderstood.However,rose,snakeandfoxsymbolizelove,deathandfriendship.Theseneedintensivestudy.Thedesertandthesnakevenomrefertobirthanddeath,whicharethephilosophicalproblems,sothesecondlevelsymbolsarecomplex.Accordingtothesymbolicmeaningofmentalworld,itreferstohuman’sinnerworldandthewritingbackground,sotheyareprofound.Thelittleprince’sinnerworldandthecontradictionrelationshipofchildrenandadultsaresymbols,whichneeddeepstudy.Eachspecificimageisnotisolated.Theseimagesareconstitutedcorrespondingrelationshipwiththelittleprince.Theauthordisplayshisvaluesthroughthecorrespondingimages.
