RemoteAppprogramsareprogramsthatareaccessedremotelythroughTerminalServicesandappearasiftheyarerunningontheenduser'

slocalcomputer.Insteadofbeingpresentedtotheuserinthedesktopoftheremoteterminalserver,theRemoteAppprogramisintegratedwiththeclient'

sdesktop,runninginitsownresizablewindowwithitsownentryinthetaskbar.UserscanrunRemoteAppprogramsside-by-sidewiththeirlocalprograms.IfauserisrunningmorethanoneRemoteAppprogramonthesameterminalserver,theRemoteAppprogramswillsharethesameTerminalServicessession.

∙Double-clickafilewherethefilenameextensionisassociatedwithaRemoteAppprogram.ThiscanbeconfiguredbytheiradministratorwithaWindowsInstallerpackage.

The.rdpfilesandWindowsInstallerpackagescontainthesettingsthatareneededtorunRemoteAppprograms.AfteropeningaRemoteAppprogramontheirlocalcomputer,theusercaninteractwiththeprogramthatisrunningontheterminalserverasifitwererunninglocally.
