FunctionOverviewTheFGI351/IGN50systemwillcontrolandmonitorthe

completeignitionandfiringsequence.Includingmonitoringforthepresenceofapilotflameandshutoffthegasflowiftheflamegoesout.Anautore-lightwilltrytore-ignitetheburneruptothreetimesifthereisaflamefailure.Therearededicatedalarminputsforlowfluidlevel,highbathtemperatureandlowandhighgaspressurethatcanbeconfiguredforhardorsoftlockouts.

DisplayAVacuumFluorescentDisplay（VFD）inthefrontdoorprovidesaneasytouseyetpowerfuluserinterface.Itprovidestheoperatorwithimportantinformationaboutburnerstatusandcertainoperationalvariables.

AnRS232/RS485MODBUScommunicationinterfaceisprovidedsothatahostcomputer,PLCorRTUcancontrolormonitortheFGI351/IGN50systems.

TheFGI351/IGN50cancontroltwomain,onepilot,andonehighfirestartvalve.AProofofClosureinputisprovidedfortheMainvalve.

SelfDiagnosticsSystemhardware,Ionizationinput,FlameMonitorinput,Proofof

Closure,andLowFireinputsareallmonitoredforcorrectperformancethroughoutalloperationsoftheFGI351.The

outputsarefedbacktotheCPUsoitcanensuretheoutputsareinthedesiredstateatalltimes.Forexample,beforetryingtoignitethepilottheCPUensuresallthevalveoutputsareoffandtheIonizationinputindicatesthataflameisn’tpresentatthepilot.Ifeitherofthesesituationsistrue,thedisplaywillindicatethenatureoftheproblemorindicatetheappropriateerrorcode.

theterminalboard,theI/Oboard,andthemainboard.Thefunctionofeachisdescribedinthesectionsthatfollow.

MainBoardSectionsThemainboardislocatedonthebacksideofthefrontdoorand

containstheCPUthatcontrolsalltheinputsandoutputs.Thedisplayindicatesthestatusoftheburnerandcertainoperationalvariables.MoredetailedinformationisprovidedintheFRONTPANELsectioninthismanual.Therearefivestatusindicatinglightemittingdiodesonthisboardtoindicatethefollowing:

AllfieldwiringfortheFGI351unitisconnectedtotheterminalboardthroughconduitopeningsthefieldinstallermustcutinthebottomoftheFGI351enclosure.Allfusesarelocatedontheterminalboard.

EEPROMIfthemainboardortheI/Oboardaredamagedorreplaced,theconfigurationdatastoredontheterminalboardwillbemaintainedintheEEPROM.

1.6Configuration

TheFGI351hasafactoryconfiguredPre-Purgetimethatmustberequestedwhenorderingtheproduct.Howeverallotherconfigurationsettingscanbeeitherfactorysetorfieldsetbyapprovedpersonnel（seeAPPLICATIONDATAsheetatbackofmanual）.Othersettingsinclude:
