Abstract
Ashortabstractshouldopenthepaper.Thepurposesofanabstractare:
∙togiveaclearindicationoftheobjective,scope,andresultsofthepapersothatreadersmaydeterminewhetherthefulltextwillbeofparticularinteresttothem;
∙toprovidekeywordsandphrasesforindexing,abstracting,andretrievalpurposes.
Theabstractshouldnotattempttocondensethewholesubjectmatterintoafewwordsforquickreading.Itshouldbenomorethan200words.Keywordsshouldbeincludedonaseparatelineattheendoftheabstracttext.
BodyOfThePaper
Outline.Aproperoutlineistheframeworkuponwhichagoodpaperiswritten.Intheprocessofmakingtheoutline,ideasareclassifiedandthoughtsareorderedintoalogicalsequencesuchthatbythetimetheinformationisreadytobetransformedintocompletesentences,agoodoverallmentalpicturehasbeenformed.Inoutlineform,thesequenceofthevariousitemsandtheprogressionofthoughtcaneasilybeadjustedandreadjusteduntilthedesiredorderisobtained;
therefore,muchwritingandrewritingissaved.
Organization.Thetextshouldbeorganizedintologicalpartsorsections.Thepurposeofthepaper,ortheauthor'
saim,shouldbestatedatthebeginningsothatthereaderwillhaveaclearconceptofthepaper'
sobjective.Thisshouldbefollowedbyadescriptionoftheproblem,themeansofsolution,andanyotherinformationnecessarytoproperlyqualifytheresultspresentedandtheconclusions.Finally,theresultsshouldbepresentedinanorderlyform,followedbytheauthor'
sconclusions.
Style.Thechiefpurposeoftheworkistoconveyinformationtoothers,manyofwhommaybelessfamiliarwiththegeneralsubjectthantheauthor.Careshouldbetaken,therefore,tousesimpletermsandexpressionsandtomakestatementsasconciseaspossible.Ifhighlytechnicaltermsorphraseologyarenecessary,theyshouldbeadequatelyexplainedanddefined.Theuseofthefirstpersonandreferencetoindividualsshouldbemadeinsuchamannerastoavoidpersonalbias.Companynamesshouldbementionedonlyintheacknowledgments.
Allpapersshouldbeconciseregardlessoflength.Longquotationsshouldbeavoidedbyreferringtosources.Illustrationsandtables,wheretheyhelpclar
