三、设计理念

本着《普通高中英语课程标准》强调课堂教学注重学生自主性、互动性、探究性的原则，首先运用任务型教学法，课前布置学生上网搜索与东西方艺术有关的信息资料，在教学过程中完成相关的教学任务。

其次，重视语篇教学。

本篇文章主要介绍了西方绘画简史上不同历史时期的艺术流派、艺术特点及其代表性的画家和作品等。

根据文章特点，从文章体裁入手，采用表格、中心句引导学生分析语篇段落结构，把握文章主题脉络，并深入语篇，归纳出不同阶段的艺术特点。

第三、加强阅读技巧的训练。

设计跳读、速读、细读等教学方法培养学生不同的阅读方式和策略，由浅入深，由表及里，先篇章后语义的顺序进行阅读。

最后，设计了读后活动，让学生合作性讨论自己家最喜欢的艺术风格和原因，充分发挥学生的想象力、创造力和合作精神，懂得如何去欣赏艺术，竞争机制的引入也让课堂气氛非常活跃。

然后以语篇方式回顾课文内容，检验学生的课堂效果，加深学生对课文的印象。

由于WarmingUp,Pre-reading,Reading和Comprehending四部分都是关于西方绘画简史的内容，可以整合为一节阅读精读课。

在阅读教学中通过设计活动、任务完成、互助探究等，结合新课标对学生能力的要求，兼顾多种能力的培养设计成了一节阅读精读课,整个教学设计都贯穿对学生情感、态度和价值观的正面教育。

设计意图：

我们知道兴趣多是由疑惑和好奇心所激发出来的。

针对这个实际，结合单元的话题“艺术”，通过问答和合作性学习，然后“头脑风暴”，旨在激发学生思维，充分调动其积极主动性，为下面的阅读做好准备，从而达到“一石激起千层浪”的效果。

这样的导入自然流畅，气氛比较热烈，学生能够大胆表述意见，积极参与课堂活动。

课前学生有准备老师布置的任务活动，经过前面的热身及常识积累，男女同学的课堂参与竞争活动显得比较激烈，都争先恐后展示自己的能力，大大启发了他们的思维。

艺术图片欣赏，实际上是让他们更加熟悉中国的本土文化艺术，了解西方艺术，从而在老师的引导下总结中西方艺术的差异。

全班同学都积极思考，不甘落后，课堂参与性与互动性非常好，是完全可以达到预期的目的。

设计意图：

引导学生利用所学过的阅读策略，在了解大意之后，从时间顺序来了解西方艺术发展的四个阶段，把握每个阶段的显著特点和代表人物、代表作，让学生头脑里形成一个比较清晰的知识网络，对表中每个阶段关键词的填空，也有助于学生及时把握文章脉络。
