Thishealthandsafetymanualmustbereadinconjunctionwiththecompany’s（insertyourcompany’snamehere）healthandsafetypolicystatement.Thiscanbefound（indicateherewherethesafetypolicystatementcanbefound）.

Employer’sResponsibilitiesUnderHealth&SafetyLaw

OurPolicyistoprovideandmaintainsafeandhealthyworkingconditions,equipmentandsystemsofworkforallouremployees,andtoprovidesuchinformation,trainingandsupervisionastheyneedforthispurpose.Wealsoacceptourresponsibilityforthehealthandsafetyofotherpeoplewhomaybeaffectedbyouractivitiesincludingvisitors,contractorsandmembersofthepublic.

Employees’ResponsibilitiesUnderHealthandSafetyLaw

AllemployeeshaveadutyundertheHealthandSafetyatWorketc.Act1974（the“Act”）andotherrelevanthealthandsafetylegislation,totakereasonablecarefortheirownhealthandsafetyandthatofotherswhomaybeaffectedbytheiractsoromissionswhilsttheyareatwork.Theymustalsoco-operatewiththeiremployerstoenablethemtocomplywiththeirdutiesunderrelevanthealthandsafetylaw.

Itisanoffenceforanyemployeetorecklesslyinterferewithormisuseanythingprovidedintheinterestsoftheirhealth,safetyandwelfare.

Inordertoworksafely,employeesmustcarryouttheirdutiesinlinewiththeinformation,instruction,trainingandsupervisionthattheyhavebeengiven.

ManagementmustbeinformedimmediatelyofanydangeroussituationsorshortcomingsintheCompany’shealthandsafetyarrangementsandsystems.

Implementation

Theallocationofdutiesforsafetymattersandtheparticulararrangements,which,wewillmaketoimplementthepolicy,aresetoutbelow.

Thepolicyandit’sassociatedmanual,willbekeptuptodate,particularlyasthebusinesschangesinnatureandsize.Toensurethis,thepolicyanditsmanualwillbereviewedeveryyearsoastoensurethattheyfitthecompany’sneedsandobligations.

AllocationofDutiesforSafetyMatters

UltimateResponsibility

UltimateresponsibilityforhealthandsafetyatthecompanylieswiththeBoardofDirectors.Thecompanyisliableforprosecutionorcivilclaimsarisingfromtheactsoromissionsofanyemployeecarriedoutinthecourseofcompanybusiness.Prosecutionofthecompany,itsCEOorDirectorswillnotpreventanysubsequentprosecutionofindividualemployeesresponsibleforanyincidentoraccidentwhichresultedintheinitialprosecutionorcompensationclaimagainstthecompany.

TheCompanyOfficerinChargeofhealthandSafety

Thecompanyhasappointed（nameandtitleofperson）toberesponsibleforhealthandsafetyissues.Thisincludestheoverseeingof,andarrangementsrequiredfor,relevantriskassessmentsandliaisonwiththeHealthandSafetyExecutive（HSE）andotherrelevantauthorities.

He/shewillensurethatDirectorsaremadeawareofanyrelevantlegislationetc.,sothatthecompanycomplieswithhealthandsafetylawatalltimes.

TheCompany’sAppointedSafetyConsultants（ifappointed）

Thecompany’sappointedsafetyconsultantshaveaduty:

∙Toprovideadviceto（personinchargeofsafety’snamehere）onhealthandsafetyissuesandrelevantlegislation.

∙Toassisthim/herinimplementingthecompany’shealthandsafetypolicyandrelatedsystems.

∙Tocarryoutrelevantinvestigations,riskassessmentsandaudits.

CompanyHealthandSafetyGroup（formthisfromstaffatyoursite）

Thisgroupwillmeet（setaperiod,atleastquarterly）andconsistsof:

TheGroupisresponsiblefor:

∙Formulation,communicationandmonitoringofthecompany’shealthandsafetypolicystatementandmanual.

∙MonitoringoftheCompany’shealthandsafetymanagementsystem.

∙Discussinganyotherhealthandsafety-relatedissuesarisingwithinthecompany.

ManagersandSupervisors

Managersandsupervisorshaveadutytoensurethat:

∙Eachpersonforwhomtheyareresponsibleisawareofthecontentsofthecompany’sHealthandsafetypolicyStatementandManual.

∙AnyhealthandsafetyrelatedissuesreportedtothembytheirstaffareimmediatelyreportedtotheCompany’sappointedsafetyconsultants.

∙Theysetapersonalexampletoemployeessoastoensurethatemployeesareencouragedtoobservehealthandsafetyproceduresatalltimes.

IndividualEmployees

Employeesare:

∙Toco-operatewithmanagersandsupervisorstoachieveasafeandhealthyworkplace

∙Totakereasonablecareforthesafetyofthemselvesandothers

∙Toco-operateintheimplementationofthecompany’sHealthandSafetysystems

∙Tousecorrectlyallworkequipmentinaccordancewithinstructionsandtrainingreceivedandnottointerferewithormisusesuchequipment

∙Nottointentionallyinterferewithorrecklesslymisuseanythingprovided
