Whenstressdoesoccur,it‘simportanttorecognizeanddealwithit.Thereoresomemethodswecantry.Alargenumberofphysicalactivitiescanreduceonxiety.Shoringourstresswithotherscanbeenormouslyhelpful.Makingtimeforfunsuchoslisteningtomusicmaybegoodmedicine.Sometimesevencryingisonefficientwaytoreleosestress.

Therearesomanythingsordesiresthatamanhastobearortoseek.Andalmosteveryoneofusfeelsexhausted.Everydaywejumpoutofbedwiththeearsplittingringofthealarmclock,swallowaquickbreakfastandthenrushtocatchthebus.Whenarrivingattheworkplace,wehavetoworkeveryminutetoitsfullvalueuntilwedraghomeandthrowourselvesdeepintothesofa.Thefastpaceofmodemlifedobringusgreatpressure.
Thefirststress-makeriscompetition.Nowadays,manypeople,thestronglycareermindedonesinparticular,areinvolvedinafiercecompetitionformoney,ranks,andfame.Intheratrace,theytryeverymeanstostayonthetop,andthefeartolosethegameinevitablywreckstheirpeaceofmind.Thesecond,areasoncloselyrelatedtothefirstone,isunhappyinterpersonalrelationships.Somepeoplearesostupidatpeopleskillsthattheyalwaysfeelillateasewhenworkingwithothers.Asaresult,theycan’tmakethemselvespartofagroup,andthelonelinessgreatlydistressthem.
Howcanweadaptourselvestothestressthen?
Aboveall,weshoulddevelopapositiveattitudetowardscompetition.Thatis,competitionisnottheultimategoaloflife,butadrivingforcethatmotivatesustofulfillourdreamsandtorealizeourpersonalvalues.Ontheotherhand,itisdemandingforustokeeppeopleawareoftheimportanceofdevelopingaschedulewhichincludesenoughtimeforrestandotherimportantvalues.

Aseveryoneknows,stressisanaturalpartofeverydaylifeandthereisnowaytoavoidit.Asthepaceofmodernlifecontinuestoincrease,wearealwaysfeelingonthegofrommorningtillnight.Anditishardtoslowdown.Itseemstousthateveryonearoundusisaggressive.Therefore,whateveronedoes,hefeelsunderstressallthetime.Itisclearthatstresshasmuchtodowiththelifeinacompetitivesociety.
Differentpeople,however,thinkofstressquitedifferently.Somebelievethatstressisnotthebadthingitisoftensupposedtobe.Theyareoftheopinionthatacertainamountofstressisvitaltoprovidemotivationandtogivepurposetolife.Othersarguethatstresscontributestoone’smentaldeclineandhenceendangershishealth.Accordingtothem,relaxation,theoppositeofstress,isessentialforahealthymindandbody.
Personally,I’minfavoroftheformerview.Ithinkitisimpossibletoavoidstresswhenoneisentirelydevotedtothecareerhepursues.Inmyopinion,itisonlywhenthestressgetsoutofcontrolthatitcanleadtopoorperformanceandillhealth.
4.Graduates’pressureinfindingjobs
Nowadays,moreandmoreuniversitygraduatescomplainthatgraduationdoesnotequatetoemployment.Theyexperiencegreatdifficultiesfindingsatisfactoryjobs.Whatisthecauseofthisphenomenon
Inmyopinion,therearefourcauses:
First,graduateslackexperience.Theyspendmostoftheirtimeatschoolstudyingacademicsubjectsandlackrelevantjobtraining.Onlyaftergraduationdotheyrealizeit’shardtofindjobs.
Second,competitionamonggraduatesgrowsmorebitterandmorebitterandbitter.Thesupplyofuniversitygraduatesexceedssocialdemand.Thisresultsinadecreasedchanceforanyindividualgraduatetofindajob.
Third,somestudentsdon’tstudyhard.Someofthemskipclassesjustbecausetheyhavenointerestincertainsubjects.Someplaycomputergamesorpursueotherinterests.Somesleepinclassorinthelibrary.Thentheyleavetheshelteredenvironmentoftheuniversitycampus,todiscovertheydon’thaveadequateknowledgetoapplyformanypositions,whichmakesthemfeellostandfrustrated.
Finally,somegraduatesareconceited.Theylackexperiencebutaskforahighsalary,whichisimpractical.
So,universitystudentsshouldtrytheirbesttochangethissituation.Whentheyareinschool,theyshouldmakethemostoftheirtimeandputtheirheartintotheirstudies.Theycanholdpart-timejobsintheirsparetimetoaccumulaterelevantworkexperience.Theyshouldtakepartinsomesocialactivitiesandprovidethemselveswithspecialtraining,ifpossible.Whentheygraduateandapplyforjobs,theyshouldattachmoreimportancetoaccumulatingexperiencethantotheirstartingsalary.
5.OnUniversityStudents’PressureinFindingJobs
Aboutadecadeago,universitystudentscouldfindsatisfactoryandenviablejobsaftertheirgraduation.Butnow,thingsaredifferent.Today'
suniversitystudentsusuallyhavemuchpressureinfindingfairlygoodjobs.Theyalwayssaydisappointedlythatgraduationmeansjoblessness.Whynowadaysuniversitystudentshavesomuchpressureinfindingjobs?
Inmyopinion,thiskindofpressureismainlycausedbythreereasons.Firstly,thegovernmentisenrollingmoreandmoreuniversitystudentsyearbyyear.Andthegrowthofthestudents'
numberhassurpassedthatoftheneedofthesociety.So,whensomanystudentsgraduateatatime,thechanceoffindingjobsbecomestiny.Secondly,today'
suniversitystudents,mostofthemarethe"
only-child"
whoaremorementallyfrail.Sincetheyareindulgedgreatlyathomeandhaven'
tbeentrainedtodothingsontheirown,onceitistheirturntogooutofthecampusandfindjobsbythemselvesanddecidewhatkindofjobstochoose,theyfeelbewilderedanddon'
tknowwhattodo.Iftheirfirsttryfails,theywillbefrustratedandthinkthatitisreallyhardtofindjobs.Thirdly,someuniversitystudentsarenotqualifiedforgoodandchallengingjobs.Afterenteringtheuniversity,theydon'
tstudyashardastheydidinhighschools.Theybegintosleepduringtheclassorevenbeabsentforclasses.SomeareaddictedtocomputergamesorJinYong'
snovels,orstepintothetwo-person-worldtooearly.Becausethesethingshavetakenupsomuchoftheirtimeandenergy,theirstudyisneglected.Afterfouryearsofuniversitylife,theyhaven'

shardtogetthroughadaywithouthearingorreadingsomethingaboutstress.SomedoctorsrefertostressassomekindofnewplagueHowever,numeroussurveysconfirmthattheproblemhasprogressivelyrisensincethe1980s.Whyallthedisorder?
Afterall,stresshasbeenaroundsinceAdamandEvewereintheGardenofEden,Stressisanunavoidableconsequenceoflife.Withoutstress,therewouldbenolife.However,justasdistresscancawdisease,therearegoodstressesthatbalancethis,andpromotewellness.
Increasedstressresultsinincreasedproductivity--uptoapoint.However,thisleveldiffersforeachofus.It'
sverymuchlikethestressonaviolinstring.Notenoughproducesadull.harshsound.Toomuchmakessharp,annoyingnoir,orcausesthestringtosnap.However,justtherightdegreecancreatemagnificenttones.Similarly,weallneedtofindtheproperlevelofstressthatpromotesoptimalperformance,andenablesustomakeharmoniousmusic.Goodhealthismorethanjusttheabsenceofillness.Rather,itisaveryrobuststateofphysicalandemotionalwellbeingthatacknowledgestheimportanceandinseparabilityofmind/bodyrelationships.Inthenextprogram.Ihopeyouwilljoinmeinthepursuitoflearninghowtoexploitstress,sothatitcanworkforyou.andmakeyoumoreproductive,ratherthanself-destructive.
7.Onpressure
Thosewholiveincitiesaroundtheworldarelikelygoingtohavesimilarexperiencesaboutlivingandtheassociatedchallengesregardlessoftheirlocationontheglobe.Mostofthesechallengesrevolvearoundstresswhichstudieshaveshownisapartofliving.Regardlessofwhatyoudoandyourprofessionandplacestressisnotavoidablebutcouldbeminimized.Thosewhoseestressasanenemywillprobablyliveanirritablelifewhichisquiteunnecessary.
Howthendowecopewithstress?
IamgoingtogiveyoutipsthathavehelpedandarestillhelpingmeincopingwithlifeinthecityofLagosNigeria,themostpopulousAfricancity,whereorientationofpeopleisquitedifferentinmanywaysaboutstressandlivingwithothers.
1.Wrongviewsonstress
Gettherightmeaningsandimpressiononstress.Thosewhomisconstruedsomedailyactivitiesorphysicalexercisesasstresswilllikelybeoverburdenedbywhatstressisnot.Youcouldreadupsomeliteratures,journals,orvisitsomewebsitesandpublicationslikethiswebsitetogettoknowmoreonstress.Ibelievewhenyoucanrelateyouractivitiesandplacetheminrightperspectivesonwhatstressisthenyo
