Thissectiondescribesthestepstocreatea10characterASCIISLIDor20characterHEXSLIDviatheONTcraftPort.

Pre-conditions:

ONTisconnectedandprovisionedfromtheOLT.Therearenoalarmsorabnormalconditionsonthesystem.ONTisconnectedviaEthernettoaPC.ThisconfigurationisapplicabletoMS-DOS,VT100Emulation,andLinux.IPaddressofthePCmustbestaticandsetto192.168.4.1,TelnettotheONTusingIP192.168.4.254.ThisisadedicatedIPaddresswithintheONTforSLIDprovisioning.

Procedure:

Step1:

RemovetheONTfromthePON.OtherwisetheSLIDcannotbemodified.

Step2:

TelnettotheONTandloginwithuserid=CRAFTSPERSONandpassword=ALC#FGUwhenprompted.Aloginmenushouldappear.
