Customsandmanners

Customsarecommonsocialpractices.Mannersarewaysofactingthatthesocietybelievesarepolite.Forexample,intheUnitedStates,itisthecustomtohavesalad(色拉)beforethemaincourseatdinner,notafter.It'snotacceptabletotalkwithfoodinmouthattable.Failuretounderstandthecustomsandmannersofothercountrieswillbringdifficultysellingtheirproducts.OrangejuiceasabreakfastdrinkofanAmericancompanyinFrancedoesn'tsellwellbecausetheFrenchdon'tusuallydrinkjuicewithbreakfast.
