seducation,hetooktheroleofBenHarperinthelong-runningtelevisiondramaticserialLoveofLife.WhileReevecontinuedhisactinglessonsandperformedinthesoapopera,hefoundtimetoauditionforandwinacovetedroleinAMatterofGravity,anewplayslatedforBroadwaystarringKatharineHepburnin1976.Bythistime,thedemandsofhiscareerhadbecomesogreatthatReevewasforcedtogiveuphisfinalyearatJuilliard,butReevesaidofworkingwithHepburn:
