Atsomeschools,onlinecoursesoriginallyintendedfornon-traditionalstudentslivingfarfromcampushaveprovedsurprisinglypopularwithon-campusstudents.Arecentstudyfound42percentofthestudentsenrolledinitsdistanceeducationcourseswerelocatedoncampusattheuniversitythatwashostingtheonlinecourses.
Numbersvarydependingonthepoliciesofparticularcolleges,butotherschoolsalsohavestudentsmixingandmatchingonlineand“face-to-face”credits.Motivesrangefromlifestyletoadaptingtoajobscheduletogettingintohigh-demandcourses.
