一、概念:
在主从复合句中,由一个句子来充当主句的宾语。
(常跟在动词后)

引导陈述句that(无实义可省略)
引导一般疑问句if/whether

Unit8情态动词表推测
1.语法剖析
(1)must为情态动词,无人称和数的变化,后接动词原形。
注意在回答must引起的一般疑问句时,否定式常用needn’t或don’thaveto,意为“没必要”,而mustn’t表示“不准;
禁止”。
(2)本单元中的情态动词must表示推断,意为“一定,肯定”。
must这种表示推测的用法只用于肯定句中。
它的否定形式是can’t,意为“一定不;
不可能”,表示有把握的否定推测。
除了must以外,might(也许),could(可能)也可以表示肯定推测,把握性较小。
(3)beCarla’s的意思是,而belongtoGrace的意思是。
两者都能对物主进行描述,可以互换,即:
主语+besb.’s=主语+belongtosb.
(4).belongto意为“属于”。
belongto没有被动语态,也不能用于进行时态。
