你知道他在50年经营之后,对未来50年的展望么?
此文,50年纪念,是巴菲特对伯克希尔哈萨维公司的回顾,其中有不少个人回忆和评述,譬如伯克希尔哈萨维当年的状况,当年他收购这家公司时候的状况和动机(譬如说,当时很生气,一些个人恩怨因素)。
而后,他描述了现状,并且展望未来。
因为是巴菲特的亲笔叙事,阅读的时候能感受他的行文风格(平实,风趣幽默)和对公司的整体思想。
基于此,原本我的计划只是挑出几点来评论下,就改成全文翻译了。
昨晚2014年年报与股东的信出炉,今天早上就有不少网站版本的翻译。
但不知道为什么,迄今为止,不少中文网站,翻译了股东的信中2014年年报的部分,却漏了这个《伯克希尔:
过去,现在和未来》的文章(在股东的信的第24页)。
当然,同时漏掉的还有第39页芒格的评论。
我先在此翻译巴菲特的这个50年回顾。
简而言之,这是有纪念意义的重要文献。
原文长达13页,所以翻译比较慢。
慢慢翻译,慢工出细活。

一切的开始
1964年5月6日,伯克希尔哈萨维,当时是由一个叫做SeaburyStanton的人经营。

Thatwasamonumentallystupiddecision
伯克希尔当时有1,583,680股在外在股本。
巴菲特合伙人企业,即我管理的投资实体,并实际上是我的所有净资产的企业,大约拥有其7%的股份。
在那个投标寄给我前不久,Stanton询问我,要让我的企业出售所持股份,要给出什么价格。
我回答说11.50元。
他说:
