34.TheauthorsattitudetowardSATANis.

[A]critical[B]indifferent[C]positive[D]enthusiastic【解析】选[C]。

(07-12)

Likemostpeople,IvelongunderstoodthatIwillbejudgedbymyoccupation,thatmyprofessionisagaugepeopleusetoseehowsmartortalentedIam.Recently,however,IwasdisappointedtoseethatitalsodecideshowImtreatedasaperson.

52.Theauthorwasdisappointedtofindthat——.

[A]onespositionisusedasagaugetomeasureonesintelligence

[B]talentedpeoplelikehershouldfailtogetarespectablejob

[C]onesoccupationaffectsthewayoneistreatedasaperson

[D]professionalstendtolookdownuponmanualworkers

(08-06)

Unfortunately,fewofushavemuchexperiencedealingwiththethreatofterrorism,soitsbeendifficulttogetfactsabouthowweshouldrespond.ThatswhyHallowell

56.InHallowellsview,peoplesreactiontotheterroristthreatlastfallwas.

[A]ridiculous

[B]understandable

[C]overcautious

[D]sensible
