Chargeaircooler

Theengineisequippedwithachargeaircooler.Theinserttypechargeaircoolerismountedinaweldedcasing（airtrunk）.Thetrunkisboltedtotheengineblock.

Standardisatwo-stagecoolermounted.Thefirststage,throughwhichthechargeairflows,iscooledwithwaterfromtheHTcoolingsystemandcoolsthechargeairtillapprox.90–100℃.ThesecondstageissuppliedwithwatercomingfromtheLTwatersystemandcoolsthechargeairfurthertilltherequiredtemperatureofapprox.50℃.BycontrollingthewaterflowthroughtheLTcoolerthechargeairtemperaturecanbekeptconstantattherequiredtemperature.

Thecirculatingcoolantwatershouldalwaysbeunderpositivepressureandshouldbeascleanaspossible.Theoperatingairtemperatureshouldbemaintainedbycontrollingthecoolantinlettemperature.
