Abstract
Inalifetime,familyisthefirstschool,inwhichparentsarethefirstteachersforthechildren.Childrenarethehopesofanation,andfamilyeducationistheelementaryeducationforchildren.Becauseofthedifferentsocialsystems,culturebackgrounds,educationaimsandsoon,familyeducationforthechildrenaredifferentinmanyaspectsbetweenChinaandAmerica.Thispaperfirstintroducesthedefinitionoffamilyeducation.Second,bycomparing,thispaperpointsoutthedifferentchildrenfamilyeducationbetweenChinaandAmerica(mainlyonaspectsoffamilyeducation’sconcepts,methodsandaims).Aftercomparison,thepaperinterpretsthereasonsofthesedifferences.Finally,thepaperputsforwardsomesuggestionsforourcountries’childrencultivation,hopingthatChinesechildrenfamilyeducationcanbecomemorerationalandmoreperfect.

摘要
家庭是人生的第一所学校,父母第一任老师,是启蒙教育的引路人。
儿童是一个名族的希望,而家庭教育对儿童来说是最初等的教育。
由于社会制度、教育目的和教育方法等的不同造就了不同的中美儿童家庭教育。
本文第一步将诠释家庭教育含义。
第二步将从教育观念、教育方法以及教育目的的不同,来对比中美儿童家庭教育的差异以及不同的家庭教育带来的不同结果。
然后通过对比找存在差异的原因。
最后希望通过对比给出一些可行性的建议使得中国儿童能够更加健康全面的成长。

1Introduction
TherearemanydifferentthingsbetweenChinaandtheAmerican.Theyhavedifferentculturebackgrounds,economicstates,socialsystems,andsoon.Thesedifferenceswillaffectmanythingssuchasbeliefsenseofvalue,education.Allthingsarerelated.ThisthesisattemptstomakeacomparisonofchildrenfamilyeducationinChinaandAmerican.InKarlWelter’sEducationalLaw,KarlWeltersays,“Iftheloveofthegood,thebeautyandthetruthhadbeenimplantedproperlyintheirmindinearlyyears,iftheyhadbeentrainedtousetheirmindsattheverybeginning,theywouldnotlivesofoolishly”.Hisobservationisquiteright.Ifthereisnogoodbeginning,therewillbenogoodending.Itisobviousthatchildrenfamilyeducationisoneofthemostimportantpartsofeducationprocess.Childrenfamilyeducation,astheelementarystageofallkindsofeducations,isthefirststepthatthechildrengetintouchwiththesociety.Familyeducationisnotonlytheeducationoftheearliesteducationbutalsothewhole-lifeeducation.
