Abstract:

Asamajorcomponentoflanguage,linguistictaboosareanimportantindicatoroflanguagechange,whichinturn,isareflectionofculturechange.Linguistictabooisnotthesameineachcountry,asapartofhumanlanguage,hasmuchrelationwithsocialtabooandhasitsimplicationsofvaluesincommunication,whichreflectshuman’valuesandthedevelopmentofsociety.ThispaperfromtheperspectiveofinterculturalcommunicationattemptstoillustratesimilaritiesanddifferencesoflinguistictabooincultureofChineseandEnglishbyusingmethodsofcontrastandcomparison,anddynamicallyanalysesthesesimilaritiesanddifferencesbygivingconcreteexamplesusedineverydaylife,whicharefollowedbyexplanations.Atthesametime,italsoillustratesitsimplicationsofvaluesfromtheperspectiveofinterculturalcommunication.Theauthorputsforwardthatpeople,byproperusingofeuphemism,havingrightattitudeandunderstandingtheuniquenessofdifferentcultures,canachievetoreduceoravoidthephenomenonofpragmaticfailureininterculturalcommunication.ThisresearchisofgreatsignificancetopromoteharmoniousinterculturalcommunicationandimproveEnglishteachingorlearning.

摘要:

禁忌语作为语言的重要组成部分，在很大程度上体现着语言的发展变化，而语言作为文化的一个侧面，又能透视出文化的发展趋势。

禁忌语因文化的不同而不同，在与社会禁忌有着很大的联系的同时，其人际交流中隐含的价值直接反映出人们的价值观和社会的不断发展。

本论文从语言语用的角度试图论述英汉禁忌语的相同和不同，通过对比和比较动态地分析这些异同之处，并给予日常生活中的具体例子来进行说明。

同时，从语言交际分析了禁忌语所隐含的价值。

作者提出了人们可以通过适当使用委婉语，正确看待禁忌语和理解不同文化的独特性，而减少或避免在跨文化交际的语用失误现象。

本论文研究在对促进和谐的跨文化交际，增进英语教学或学习具有重要意义。

1Introduction

1.1Generaldescriptionofthestudy

Withthefrequentinternationalcorporations,trade,educationandmarriages,interculturalcommunicationincreasinglybecomesthemainmodeofcommunication.Howevertherearestillsometaboosthatarebeyondpeople’sacceptabilitybecauseofitssensitiveness．Misunderstanding，unhappiness，conflictorevendisastrousconsequencesmayoccurduetotheviolationofcertaintaboos.Theauthorisachievingadeeperunderstandingofthecomplexaspectofinterculturalcommunication，andprovidingpeoplewithaperspectivetotackletheproblemoflinguistictaboosinbothinterpersonalandintercultural,andattemptstohighlightthesimilaritiesaswellasdifferencesofsocialbehaviors，sothatpeoplecandevelopcommunicativecompetenceandachi
