Popovicthinksthefirsteffortstocombinegameswitheducationfellflatbecausetheywerecreatedbycommercialcompanies.Thesecompaniesweremoreinterestedinsellingproductsthanseeingstudentsmasteraskill.

Teacherssaytherearesomeprettygoodgamesinthemarketplacenow.

Holladay,themathteacherfromAlberta,Canada,beganmovingpaper-basedmathgamestotheiPad,buildinggamesthatallowedstudentstocompetewitheachotherandgivingtheminstantfeedback(反馈)ontheirprogress.

Thegamesreinforced(强化)thelessonshewasteaching,andhisstudentshadfunplaying,hesaid.“Theywerealotmoreengaged(参与)”.
