Thedocumentprovidesanoverviewofmonitoringandsupportingworkflow.Thisdocumentdiscussesinbrief,differentmethodsofmonitoringworkflow,aswellasSAPtransactionsusedinworkflowmonitoring.

ThisisintendedforpeoplewhoareprovidingworkflowsupporttoABSproject.

2.Monitoring

Monitoringofworkflowshouldbedoneonadaily,weeklyandmonthlybasis.Thefollowingsectiondiscussesthestepsinvolvedineachtimeframe.

Monitoringproactivelyallowstheadministratortoidentifyerrorsintheworkflows.Thisisdonebyrunningspecificreportsthatidentifyperformanceandworkflowerrorsthathaveanimpactonthebusinessprocess.

Inordertologasaworkflowadministratorpleasefollowtheinstructionsinthedocumentprovidedbelow.

Usefultransactionstoassistyouindailyworkflowmonitoring.

Listedbelowareanumberofmontasksthatyouwillusetohelpyouanalyseanddiagnoseworkflowerrorsandindailymonitoring.

Ihaveattemptedtocatchagenericgroupoftasksthatcanbeusedtoanalysedifferentworkflows.Whenanalysingaworkflow,thefollowingtransactionswillhelpyouanalyseerrorsanddeterminesolutionsforworkflowmonitoring.Thesecanbeusedtoanalyseavarietyofdifferentworkflowsandscenarios.

Infotype–0105munication–Intheorganisationalassignmentlookforastartandfinishdate.Thiswillhelpyoudeterminescenarioswherethecorrectagentisintheworkflowbuthe/shemaynotbeactivebecausetheirstartdatemaynotbetillthebeginningofthemonthforexampleinrelationtotheexecutionoftheworkflowyettheworkflowandthepositiontheyholdisactive.

Solution–Speaktotheteamleaderintherelevantfunctionalareatodeterminethenextsteptobetaken.

Infotype-0105munication–Checkthattheuserhasavalidemailaddress.ThisisimportantastheworkflowfindstheagentwhoistheholderofapositionandthendeterminestheagentsemailaddressfromtheirHRmasterdata.

Solution–Ifthereisnoemailaddressintheusers0105infotype,thenaservicecallwillneedtoberaisedandassignedtothehelpdesktoresolve.

Alsocheckthisinfotypeforthepositionandalsotheorgunitthepersonbelongstoo.UsethisinfotypeasacheckforaSAPusername.YouwilleacrossscenariosthatausermaybeactivebuthasnousernameinSAP.

Solution–RaiseorpasstheservicecallontothehelpdesksothattheymayprocessaSAPusernamefortheuserinvolved.

Infotype2001Absences–Veryusefulforcheckingtoseeifspecificleaverequestsdateshavebeenposted.ThiswillhelpidentifywhenworkingonleaverequestsiftheyhavepostedcorrectlyintoPA20.

PTARQ-Displayleaverequest

Crucialtransactiontobeusedtodetermineastatusofleaverequest.Thistransactionallowsyoutolookattheworkflowbypersonnelandforeachleaverequestforthatperson.

PO13D–DisplayPosition

Thistransactionisveryusefulfordeterminingpurchasinglimitstoaposition.WhenanalysingaworkflowinthePTParea,therewillbescenarioswherethepurchasinglimitsforaPRforanagenttoapprovemaynotbesufficient.

Alsoveryusefulfordeterminingtherelationshipsforaposition.Thatiswhotheholderisofapositionandandifanyactingrolesareassignedtothisposition.

Astheworkflowispositionalbasedwithapredetermined$$limitanyqueriesinyouranalysingwillthenneedtobediscussedwiththePTPfunctionalteam.

Thistransactionisusedtoidentifyspecificworkflowsforaspecificworkflowobject.
