Abstract:

Toenablethestructuralbesafeandsuitable,economic,andreasonableisastructuralengineer’staskandresponsibility.Accordingtolong-termworkexperience,tointroducetheprinciplesofearthquake-resistantdesign,seismicperformancemeasurestoimprovehousingfromtheviewpointofconceptualdesign.Introducetheenvironmentalcategoriesandthedeterminationofthethicknessofprotectivelayer,thecalculationoffreesupportedbeamsettingsandtheotherissueswithengineeringpractice.

1.ConceptualDesignandStructure,

Inearthquake-resistantdesign,therearemanyfactorsaffecttheseismicabilityofthewholestructure.Suchas:

Thecarryingcapacityanddeformationcapacityofstructuralelements,thematerialpropertiesandtheprovisionofenergyreservesofnon-structuralelements;

theconnectionstructure;

structuralstability;

theanti-destructivepowerofthestructure’soverallperformanceundertheactionofexperiencingforthefirsttimeearthquakeandrepeatedtheroleofaftershocks.Atpresent,onlythefirstfactorcouldbecalculated,otherfactorscouldnotbe.Onlythroughtheconceptualdesignandstructuresothatstructuralsystemcanachievethenecessarybearingcapacity,stiffness,stability,theabilityofenergyabsorptionanddissipation,thatis,sufficientductility.Ofcomplexstructure,One-thirdcalculation,sevenpartsconstructed,moreimportantly,istheconceptualdesign.

(1)TheConceptualDesign

Materialproperties,componentperformance,connectionstructure,structuralsystems,canbetestedthroughexperimentsandpractice,butcannotbecalculated,isknownasconceptualdesign.Seismicdesignshouldbeguidedbythefollowingprinciples:

(1)Thebearingcapacity,stiffness,qualityofstructureshouldbesymmetrically,uniformly,continuouslyarrangedalongtheplaneandheighttoavoidthestressconcentration;

(2)Shouldsetupmulti-channelseismiclineofdefense,arrangestaticallyindeterminatestructureandhigherductilitycomponents,payattentiontostrengtheningthestaticallydeterminatestructure,thekeypartsandtheweaknessesappropriately;

(3)Payattentiontostructuralintegrityoftheconnection,thesamestructuralunitshouldbefirmlyconnectedwhilethedifferentstructuralunitsshouldcomplywiththerequirementsofthecompleteseparation;

(4)Estimationandcontrolofplastichingeoccursextentandlocation,arrangethestructuretargetedandcontroltheprocessyieldandfinalyieldformationmechanismofthestructure;

(5)Toachievestrongcolumnweak-beamandstrongshearweakbending;

(6)Takeeffectivemeasurestopreventthebrittlefailuresuchasprematureshearbreakofconcrete,anchorage-sideslidingofsteelandconcretecrushingetc;

(7)Thebearingcapacityandstiffnessoftheconnectednotesshouldbecompatiblewiththestructure,andthebearingcapacityshouldnotlessthanthestructure’s;

(8)Theindiscriminateincreaseinsteelconsumptionshouldbeavoided,ifthedesignbearingofapartistoolargeortoolittlemayresultintherelativelyweakofstructure,theexcessiveuseofthebendingsteelofbeamend,columnendandthestrengtheningpartsofsharewallshouldbereducedwhentheycanmeettherequirementsofbearingandconstruction;

(9)Considerthebeneficialandadverseeffectsofnon-structuralcomponentsonthemainstructure.

(2)StructureConstruction

Structuresystemsrelyonmechanicalcalculationtoensurethebearingcapacityanddeformation,whiledependonconstructionmeasurestoconnectthestructureelementsandformasystem.Reasonableconstructionscanensureaclearloadtransferofcomponents,guaranteetheabsorptionanddissipationofenergyunderrepeatedactionofforce;

avoidthelossofcarryingcapacityandanti-seismiccapacityoftheentirestructuralsystemcausedbythedestructionofsomeelements;

ensurethedurabilityduringdesignlife.Wecansaythatconstructionisastructuralconcreteofconceptualdesign.Wehaveacompletestructuralconstructionmeasuresforthepilotstudythroughseveraldecadesofpractice,especiallyafterlearningtheexperiencesandlessonsofTangshanearthquake.Therecognizeisconstantlyimproved,theconceptualdesigniscontinuouslydeveloped,,wenotonlyneedtotakeproperuseofthecurrentmeasuresforstructuraldesignandconstruction,butalsoneedtoconstantlysumup,enrichandimproveourability. 

2.Structuralcalculation

(1)Theloadmustbeaccurate

Loadsincludestructuralweight,constructionmaterials,equipmentsloads(equipmentweight,pipesweight),buildingfeaturesrequiredliveload,wind,snowloads,earthquakeforces,temperaturechangescausedstress,andotherincidental
