TerraCycledoesthisbyfirstbreakingthemdownintoseparateparts.Theymixtheremainingmaterials,suchasthetobaccoandthepaper,withotherkindsofrubbish,anduseitonnon-agriculturalland,suchasgolfcourses.Thefilters（过滤嘴）arealittleharder.Torecyclethese,TerraCyclefirstmakesthemcleanandcutsthemintosmallpieces,andthencombinesthemwithotherrecycledmaterials,makingthemintoliquidforindustrialplasticproducts.

They’renowalsoexpandingtheirrecyclingofferingstotherestofthe80percentofhouseholdwastethatcurrentlycan’tberecycled,suchaschocolatepackaging,pens,andmobilephones.Thegoalistousethelatestresearchtofindawaytostopsomuchwasteendingupinlandfill（垃圾填埋）,andthengetcompaniestoprovidemoneyfortheprocess.Andsofar,it’sworking.
