ThispaperstatestheimportanceoflearningspokenEnglishthroughtheanalysisofthecurrentdevelopmentofthesociety,andemphasizesthatifwewanttomeetthesocialandeconomicdevelopmentneeds,learningoralEnglishwellisourfirstchoice.Itpointsoutthreemajorfactorsaffectingspokenenglishlearning:
Lackoflanguageenvironment,thenegativeimpactofthecurrenttestingsystemandthestudents’psychologicalbarrier.ItalsosummarizessomewaysofstudyingspokenEnglish.
First,thispaperpointsoutthatEnglishplaysaveryimportantroleintoday’socity,especiallytheimportanceofspokenEnglish.
Then,threemajorfactorsinfluencingspokenEnglishareanalysed,andmeasurestoimprovespokenEnglisharediscussedfurther.
Finally,thispaperemphasizestheimportanceofspokenEnglish.

摘要
本文通过对当前社会发展形势的分析阐述了英语口语学习的重要性,强调了如果我们要满足社会和经济发展的需求必须要学好口语。
通过进一步分析指出影响大学生口语的三个主要因素:
语言环境的缺乏、当前应试系统的负面影响以及大学生自身的心理障碍。
并在此基础上总结了一些提高口语的方法。
首先,本文指出了英语在当今社会中地位的提升,尤其是英语口语的重要性。
其次,本文阐述了大学生英语口语的三个主要因素,然后在此基础上提出了相应的对策。
最后,强调了大学生学好英语的必要性。

1.Introduction
Asfarasweareconcerned,Englishiswidelyusedbymostofpeopleintheworld.Nowadays,withthedevelopmentofeconomicglobalization,English,asaninternationalcommunicationtool,playsamoreimportantroleinourlives.Inourcountry,therearemanycollegestudentswhocannotspeakEnglishafterhavinglearnedEnglishforalongtime.Thatistosay,theirEnglishis“dumbEnglish”.Tosolvethisproblem,thisarticleexploresthecruxofthisproblemandproposedthepossiblecountermeasurestoimprovecollegestudents’oralEnglish.ItsaimistryingtomakestudentsawareoftheimportanceoforalEnglish,helpingthemtofindoutthecruxoftheirproblemsinEnglishstudyandquicklyimprovetheirEnglishspeakingability,whichcanmakeagreatcontributiontothedevelopmentofworldeconomic,theprogressofscienceandtechnologyandtheexchangesofworldculture.

2.1Theimportanceofspeech
Asfarasweknow,speechandwritingarethetwomajormediaofcommunication.Butmodernlinguisticsgivesprioritytothespokenformoflanguagewhichisconsideredasmorebasicthanthewrittenformforanumberofreasons.First,inanyhumansocietyweknowof,speechprecedeswriting.Thewritingsystemofanylanguageisalwaysalaterinvention,usedtorecordthespeech.Whilequiteanumberoflanguagesintheworldtodayhavebothspokenandwrittenforms,therearestillmanylanguagesthathaveonlythespokenform.Andthenintermsoffunction,thespokenlanguageisusedforawiderrangeofpurposethanthewritten,andcarriersalargerloadofcommunicationthanthewritten.
2.2TheimportanceoforalEnglish
Weallknowthatourcountriesaredevelopingallthetimeandoursocietyisprogressingallthetime.Nowadays,internationalexchangesarenolongerlimitedtoreadingandwrittenform.Inthepast,almostallteachersandstudentsthoughtthatthepurposeofnon-EnglishmajorstudentstolearnEnglishwasthattheycouldreadsomeofforeignliteraturematerialsrelatedtotheirmajorknowthedevelopmentsofinternationalforefrontandimprovetheirownprofessionalstandards.Butwiththedeepeningofreformandopeningup,especiallyeconomicandtradetieshavebeenenhanced.Wehavechancestocommunicatewithforeignfriendsfacetoface.Especiallyinbusinessnegotiations,inordertohaveahappyandsuccessfulnegotiation,wehavetobeamasterofEnglishspeaking,orournegotiationwillbecomeafailure.Sofromthepointofthisview,ifwewanttomeetthesocialandeconomicdevelopmentneeds,learningoralEnglishwell
