“我厌弃一切凡是敏锐的知觉所能感觉到的快乐，只有爱您才是我的无上幸福……”这是二女儿里根的表述。

多么娓娓动人的口才，说得李尔王心花怒放，将财产给了她们，然而她们真有如此爱她们的父亲吗?

不，她们对爱的告白其实是对金钱的渴求，她们对亲情的表述其实是对财富的欲望，她们对父女情的理解其实是被利益蒙蔽双眼的表现。

而李尔王最珍爱的小女儿考狄利娅的回答却是“父亲，我没有话说，我是个笨拙的人，不会把我的心涌上嘴里;

我爱您只是按照我的名分，一分不多，一分不少。

”对啊!

亲情的爱只是因为您是“我”的父亲，而对您的感激与孝敬，不会因为言语的诱人而变得更加崇高，不会因为金钱的“万能”而变得更加伟大，更不会由于私欲的“渴望”而变得更加至高无上光彩夺目;

相反它们会因为言语的花俏而变得低下，会因为金钱的伪装而变得卑贱，会因为私欲的愚昧而失去光彩。

而这一切的变化都是人类那可耻的虚荣心所赐。

考狄利娅那普通的“名分”、简单的话语道出了亲情的“真实”——普通而平凡，

然而李尔王却因此大怒，与她断绝父女关系，难道他这个高高在上的君王竟不习惯人间最平凡的亲情吗?

难道他这个父亲对亲情的理解也只是语言的动人、表面的华丽、不断满足虚荣心的奢侈，毫无真情实感吗?

考狄利娅“只是缺少娓娓

动人的口才，一些违心的言语，凡是心里想到的事，总不愿在没有把它实行以前就放在嘴里宣扬。

”她所以失去欢心的原因“并不是什么丑恶的污点淫邪的行为，或是不名誉的举止，而是她“缺少像人家那样的一双献媚求恩的眼睛。

一条她所认为可耻的善于逢迎的舌头。

人们的虚荣心是多么奇怪而可耻!

只喜欢别人把你当贵重稀有的物品而捧得高高，却不知道别人已把自己当作无用易碎的玻璃花瓶，不知道自己的短处，还一味地挑剔别人的毛病与错误。

当一个人不断希望得到别人的奉承与讨好时，那么这就是他“毁灭”的开始。

时间证明了一切，两个女儿排挤他，冷落他，只有被他遗弃仇视的小女儿考狄利娅来关心爱护他，最后用她的生命换回了她“真正”的父亲，弥天大谎破灭了，此时美丽诱人的言语成了万恶的根源。

言语的诱人，言语的“伪装”，言语的“虚假”历历在目，痛之入骨。

回想当时肯特公爵的劝阻是正确的，他甚至用生命作为代价对他说道：

“有人不会口若悬河，说得天花乱坠，可并不是无情无义!

”而现在已回天乏术了。

这是虚荣心“导演”的一部愚昧父亲害死自己善良女儿的可悲电影。
