☑FromJanuarytoJune2010,bothproductionandsalesofChinesefurnitureindustrywerebooming.Theoutputwas283millionandthesalesvaluewas153.71billionRMB.Theyearonyeargrowthrateofproductionandsalescontinuedtoriseandbothwereover20%.Theimportandexportalsohadadramaticgrowth,withagrowthof47.74%and33%respectively,butthegrowthofimportnarrowedwhilethatofexportincreasedsteadily,however,theformerwasstillhigherthanthelatter.

☑FromJanuarytoMay2010,thesalesrevenueandtotalprofitsofChinesefurnitureindustrywere150.54billionRMBand7.32billionRMB,withagrowthof30.56%and60.14%.Inthesecondquarter,thesolvencyofthefurnitureindustryhasimprovedslightly,andtheprofitabilitywassignificantlyenhancedwhiletheinventoryandaccountsreceivablewereundereffectivecontrol,besides,thedevelopmentcapacityhasbeenimprovingoverthemonths.So,avigorousrecoveryofthewholeindustryisvirtuallyassured.Inparticular,thewoodenfurnitureindustryexcelledmetalfurnitureindustryinthesolvency,operationalabilitiesandthedevelopmentcapacity,butthemetalfurnitureindustrywasslightlybetterinprofitability.

☑Astothethreelistedcompaniesoffurnituremanufacturing,theS*STGuangmingwasintheproceedingofrestructuringwhiletheGuangdongYihuaTimberandtheUnitedStatesgramshadagoodperformance.TheGuangdongYihuaTimberintendedtoexpanditsmarketfromabroadtohome,whiletheUnitedStatesgramstookeffortstobuildfurniturechainindomestic.Instrongcontrastwiththeirbusiness,inthesecondquarter,affectedbythesharpfallofthemarket,thesharepriceofthetwolistedcompaniesbothdeclinedmorethan30%,underperformingthewholeplate.

☑Thenaturaldisastersindomesticandtradeprotectionismbyforeigncountriesmadethewoodpricegoupoverthepastfewmonths.Asthematerialpricesrising,thefurnitureindustryfacingabigpressure.Underpressureofthe“RealDeal”,thecommercialhousingturnoverofthefirstandsecondtiercitieshadasharpdeclineofnearly50%,whichwasprobablytocauseashrinkingdemandofthefurniture.
