今天，我们很高兴在这里欢聚一堂，庆祝中华人民共和国成立五十四周年。
Itisagreatpleasuretojoinyoualltodaytocelebratethe54thanniversaryofthefoundingofthePeople’sRepublicofChina.
今年以来，我们国家有两件大事为世界瞩目：
一是国家领导换届；
一是抗击非典疫症。
我们很高兴看到：
新一届国家领导人在今年年初顺利产生。
新领导集体上任之初，就面对着突如其来的非典疫症。
他们坚强地带领全国人民与非典疫症进行了惊心动魄、艰苦卓绝的抗争，最终取得了重大的胜利。
新一届中央政府在领导人民与疫症抗争的同时，卓有成效地引领国家在过去十几年打下的良好基础上，朝向新的高峰前进，保持整体经济快速健康增长和良好的发展势头。
全国社会稳定，政治稳定，处处呈现出生机勃勃的景象。
在一个近十三亿人口的国家，能够使人民的生活达到小康水平，是中华民族发展历史上一个新的里程碑。
我们为此感到无比骄傲与自豪。
