@#@ANewEraofDeviceandWorkflowAwareness@#@Backin2005,Isaidthatoneofthesecond-ordereffectsofadigitizedhealthsystemisthateverythingwouldneedtoberedesigned;@#@anewgenerationofawaremedicaldeviceswouldneedtobebuilt,capableoftappingdirectlyintotheEMRasthesourceoftruth.By2006,wehadintroducedanewglobaldevicearchitecturetofocusoncreatingsaferhealthcareenvironmentsbyconnectingallthingsdigitalintheclients’workplace—devices,roomlighting,entertainmentsystemsandallEMRs—notjustCerner’sbutourcompetitors’aswell.Andinsomeinstances,thiswouldmeanreplacingmedicaldevicesandworkflows.WecalledthisnewarchitectureCareAware®@#@.OurgoalwastouseourdetailedknowledgeoftheinformationavailableintheEMRtocreatethebestpossiblecontextualawarenessfordoctors,nursesandpharmacistsastheymakedecisions.Weworkedcollaborativelywithmanyofthemanufacturersofmedicaldevicesandotherinformationsystemstocreateastandards-basedCareAwareiBus™,adeceptivelysimple-lookingpieceofequipmentthatactsmuchlikeaUSBportforhealthcare,enablingplug-and-playconnectivitybetweendevicesandtheEMR.WealsodevelopedtheCareAwareiAware™dashboardtoproviderapidsituationalawarenessofthepatient’sconditionusinginformationfromtheEMR.@#@@#@Toillustratethedepthoffunctionalitywehaveattainedinjustafewshortyears,considerouraward-winningCareAwareInfusionManagement™technology,whichgathersdatafrommultipledevicesandtheEMRintoasinglelocation.Thistechnologymakesitpossibleforthefirsttimeinhealthcaretoautomateoneofthemostclinicallyarduousanderrorproneprocessesinthenursingworkflow—infusiondocumentationandpumpmanagement.@#@TodaywearetakingtheneedforsituationalandcontextualawarenesstoanewlevelbycreatingentireworkenvironmentsforhealthcarecalledSmartRooms.In2007,adedicatedgroupofCernerassociatesbegantorethinkthepatientandcaregiverexperience,envisioninghowdeviceconnectivity,innovativetechnologiesandworkflowsolutionsmightdramaticallychangetheexperience.SmartRoomsaretheresultofthatdirection.ASmartRoomisacarespaceoptimizedforthepatientandcaregiverexperiencethroughconnectedtechnologiesthatutilizereal-timehealthdataandeventlogic.@#@OutsideaSmartRoom,youmightfindaRoomLinkmessageboardthatsensestheidentityofthecaregiverenteringtheroom,whileinsideaninteractivedisplayintroducesthenewcaregivertothepatient.Nearby,aflat-panelCareAwareiAwaremonitoralsosensesthecaregiver’sidentityandpullsupaconciseviewofthemostrelevantdatafrom@#@thepatient’sEMR@#@CernerSmartRoomtechnologyisusedinmorethan500facilities—enablingreal-timeclinicaldatafromdevices,suchastelemetryandvitalsignmonitors,IVsmartpumpsandhospitalbeds,toflowdirectlyintoapatient’sEMRwithoutdelayorerror.SmartRoomscreatesuchastreamlinedexperienceforcaregiverandpatientsthatthetechnologydisappearsintothesurroundingsandwhatremainsisworld-classcare.@#@alreadyneedfortheirdailyoperations.Wecallthisfamilyofservices“Works”.WestartedinthefirstpartoflastdecadewithourCernerWorks™services,hostingtheclient’ssystemsinourdatacenters.Inthelasttwoyears,wehavemovedintoprovidingembeddedserviceswithourCernerITWorks™services,whereweassumeresponsibilityfortheclient’sinternalITfunctions,leveragingourownITskillsandscale;@#@wehavealsostartedCernerRevWorks™,whereweassumeresponsibilityfortheclient’sinternalrevenueprocesses,leveragingourscaleandtechnologies;@#@andQualityWorks,whereweassumeresponsibilityforqualityreportingandmonitoringwhilealsohelpingimprovetheirclinicalprocessesthroughourMillenniumLighthouse®@#@solutionsandservices.Webelievethesenewservicesgiveussignificantgrowthopportunitiesthroughthisdecadeinourexistingclientbaseandinnewfootprints.@#@launchedanon-sitenewageclinicandpharmacy,incorporatedbiometricmeasurementsforourpopulation,realignedtheeconomicincentivesforassociatesinourhealthplanpricetagsandrolledoutadata-basedwellnessmanagementprogramthat@#@providespersonalizedhealthprofilesforourassociates.Wehavealsorevampedouron-campuscafeteriastoincludehealthiermealsandencouragedfreshthinkingaboutworkenvironments,incorporatingoptionssuchasstandingworkstations.@#@OurplanistotakethesamelifesavingtechnologythatworksinsidethemostsophisticatedhealthcareenterprisesintheU.S.andmakeitworkoutsidetheconfinesofasingleenterprise,intheNewMiddle.@#@商业模式：
