写作中同义词的运用

   要提高作文的分数，靠复杂的句式和生僻词不是唯一的方法，我们可以采用同义词替换让文章显得更加活泼、有变化。

关联词的使用

1.说明先后次序：

first,second,third,…;tobeginwith,moreover,finally…;firstofall,next,then,eventually;meanwhile;inthemeantime

2.因果：

becauseof,dueto,owingto,thanksto,asaresultof,forthisreason,consequently,accordingly,thus,hence,therefore,inthisway,foronething…foranotherthing

3.比较和对比：

在使用关联词的过程中要特别注意关联词的用法及词性如however,nevertheless等。

关联词所隐含的逻辑关系以及受汉语的影响。

例如：

inaddition是介词短语做状语，后接逗号再接句子。

而inadditionto是介词短语，后紧接名词性成分。

写作中常出错的关联词：

despite不能用despiteof，用法同inspiteof后可接名词性成分而是though从属连词,后接状语从句或其省略形式。

However,thus,moreover,therefore,hence等关联词都是副词，不能直接连接两个句子需前面加连词或采用分号或分成两个独立的句子。

如：

WatchingTVcanbeawasteoftime,thereforemanyparentstrytopreventtheirchildrenfromwatchingTV.

Whatcomesfirst用于列举后面接系动词和表语不能单独使用。

与它搭配使用的是Thencomes

Whatcomesfirst,cellphoneisaconvenientwayofcommunication.

Whatcomesfirstisthatcellphoneisaconvenientwayofcommunication.

Firstofall不能与second（ly）third（ly）配合使用，因为它意义为首先，表示在重要性方面优于其他，它经常要和thenbesidesfurthermore等配合使用。

But在英语中仅表转折而在汉语中还可表顺承关系，故使用应小心谨慎：

Foronething…foranotherthing专门用于引出某事的理由，不是表明理由的两方面不能用它来连接。

Ontheonehand…ontheotherhand只用于相互矛盾或相反的观点意见等如果是描述事物同一性质的两方面则不能用。

如描写书信的两大利处就不能用它只能用ontheonehand,inaddition（furthermore,moreover）。
