wait重在动作上的"等",可接具体的时间,意思偏重于"专门在等",很少可能做别的事。

expect重在心理上的"盼",在这个动作发生时还很有可能在做别的事,倾向于"边做边盼"。

(1)while从属连词,引导时间状语从句,从句动词用延续性动词,主句的动作发生在从句动作发生的过程之中。

(2)并列连词,表前后两个分句意义相反或相对,意为“然而”。

(3)放在句首,表示“尽管;虽然”,相当于although。

表示“除了”的词或短语有:
except;but;exceptfor;besides;exceptthat(when...)等。
(1)except和but可以互换;但在no,all,nobody,nothing,noone等词后多用but。
