TESTPROGRAMONBOARDOFELECTRICPOWERSYSTEM

 

1.General

1.1Attendants

Thetestshallbeconductedincompliancewiththeprogramandwitnessedbypresentedofthesurveyorofclassificationsocietyandtheowner’srepresentative,unlessotherwisementioned.

1.2Testingcondition

Duringtesting,alltheelectricequipmentshallbekeptitsserviceconditionasnearaspracticable,andgaugesfixedontheinstrumentboardofequipmentshallgenerallybeusedforcheckingandtakingarecord.Eachtestshallbecarriedoutwhenthevesselismooredalongsidethebuilder’swharf,unlessotherwisementioned.

 

TESTPROGRAM

1ElectricPowerSystem

1.1MaindieselgeneratorsandEmergencygenerator

1.1.1General

Duringtestonboard,inprinciplewaterresistanceshallbeusedastestload(PF=1.0)exceptatseatrialorotherwisenoted.

1.1.2Insulationresistancetest

Beforeandafterthegeneratorheatrunningtest,insulationresistancebetweenthefollowingpointsshallbemeasuredbyuseofaDC500VMeggeranditshallbeconfirmedthattheresistanceis1mega-ohmorabove:

-Winding–ship’shull

-Spaceheater–ship’shull

TheresultsofabovetestarerecordedinattachedsheetsE-1,2,3,4onpages15,16,17,18.

1.1.3Heatruntest(Continuousloadtest)

Increasegeneratorloadgraduallyfromzerotofullandthenrunthegeneratorcontinuouslyfor60minutesunderfullloadcondition,15minutesunder110%fullloadatlast.

Measurethefollowingparametersandrecordthedataduringthistest.

Output(kW),Frequency(Hz),Voltage(V),Current(A),

Temperature(℃)ofAir,Frame,Stator,BearingandEngineroom.

Itshallbeconfirmedthatthegeneratorisfreefromanabnormalriseoftemperatureateachpart.

Thetemperatureshallbemeasuredbyusingofthermometermethod.

ThemeasurementpointsandresultsofmeasurementarerecordedinattachedsheetsE-5,6,7,8,onpages19,20,21,22.

1.1.4Voltagecharacteristictest(Loadcharacteristictest)

Atafullratedload,thevoltageandfrequencyshallbesettoaratedpointandmeasurementshallbetakenonthevoltageandfrequencyateachpointwiththeloadchangedasfollows:

100%-75%-50%-25%-0-25%-50%-75%-100%

Duringtheabovemeasurement,itshallbeconfirmedthatavoltagevariationateachpointiswithin±2.5%(11.3V)forMaingenerator,±3.5%(15.8V)forEm’cygenerator.

TheresultsofthemeasurementarerecordedinattachedsheetsE-9,10,11,12onpages23,24,25,26.

1.1.5Speedvariationtest(Voltageregulatingandgovernortest)

Thisshallmeasurethemomentaryvariationandthepermanentvariationofvoltageandfrequencywhenthefollowingloadissuddenlytakenofforon:

Itshallbeconfirmedthattheregulationiswithinthefollowings:

Instantaneousvoltage:

-15%~+20%(-67.5V~+90V)

Settledvoltage:

Maingen:

±2.5%(±11.3V)

±3.5%(±15.8V)

TheresultsoftheabovetestarerecordedinattachedsheetsE-13,14,15,16onpages27,28,29,30.

1.1.6Parallelrunningtest(Maingeneratorsonly)

-Aftertwogeneratorsaremanuallyoperatedinparallel,firstregulatetheloadforeachgeneratorto75%ratedasinitialpointofparalleling,thentheloadofprovisionalbasegeneratorischangedas:

75%-50%-25%-50%-75%-100%-75%

Ineachpointoftheaboveloads,theeffectivepower,voltageandfrequencyshallbemeasuredandtheloadsharingistobesuchthattheactiveloadonanygeneratorisnottodifferfromitsproportionateshareofthetotalloadbymorethan15%.Themaximumvalueis600kWx15%=90kW.

Theloadsharingtestshallbecarriedoutbetweenanytwo

(2)generatorsetsofthree(3),itscombinedgroupswillbe“No.1-No.2”Gen-sets,“No.2-No.3”Gen-setsand“No.3-No.1”Gen-sets.

TheresultsofabovetestarerecordedinattachedsheetsE-17,18,19onpages31,32,33.

Loadtransfertest(maingensetsonly)

Suchtestshouldbecarriedoutundertheconditionofregulatingtheloadofeachgeneratorto50%ratedoutputapproximately,totallyhavingthree(3)combinedgroupsandtestingsequenceasfollowing:

1)No.1&No.2Gen-setsinparallelrunning

ManuallysynchronizingoperatingtheNo.3Gen-set,thenmakingtheNo.1Gen-setoutofservice.

2)No.2&No.3Gen-setsinparallelrunning

ManuallysynchronizingoperatingtheNo.1Gen-set,thenmakingtheNo.2Gen-setoutofservice.

3)No.3&No.1Gen-setsinparallelrunning

ManuallysynchronizingoperatingtheNo.2Gen-set,thenmakingtheNo.3Gen-setoutofservice.

TheresultsofabovearerecordedinattachedsheetE-20onpage34.

1.2Generatorprotectingdevice

Forthefollowinggeneratorprotectingdevices,onlythedemonstrationcarriedout,becausedeviceshavebeenexactlyadjustedatmanufacturer’sworkingshop.

Settingmarksaretobeconfirmed.

1.2.1Reversepowerprotection(maingensetsonly)

Eachmaingeneratorshallbegivenareversepowerprotectionasmentionedbelowanditshallbeconfirmedthatthereversepowerrelay(orequaldevice)startstoworkproperlyandtheaircircuitbreakeropensatasettime.

Settingofreversepower:

-10%ofrating(60kW)

Delaytime10±2sec

Thisdemonstrationshallbeconductedonceandtimefromreversepowersupplytobreakeropeningshallbemeasuredforreference.

TheresultsoftheabovetestarerecordedinattachedsheetE-21onpage35.

1.2.2Over-currentprotection

Thisdemonstrationshallbecarriedoutintheconditionthatnoloadisappliedontheprimemover.

Theover-currentrelay(orequaldevice)ateachphaseofthegeneratorshallbefedwithcurrentsasmentionedbelowanditshallbeconfirmedthattherelay(orequaldevice)startstoworkproperlyandtheaircircuitbreakeropensatasettingtime.

Settingvalue:

Maingen:

962Ax110%x120%=1270A

Delaytime20±3sec

Em’cygen:

192x110%x120%=253A

Delaytime20±3sec

Thisdemonstrationshallbeconductedonceandtimefromover-currentsupplytobreakeropeningshallbemeasuredforreference.

1.2.3Preferentialtriptest(MSBonly)

Thisdemonstrationshallbecarriedoutintheconditionthatnoloadisappliedontheprimemover.

Theover-currentrelay(orequaldevice)forpreferentialtripforeachmaingeneratorshallbefedwithcurrentsasmentionedbelowanditshallbeconfirmedthatrelay(orequaldevice)startstoworkproperlyandtheover-currentrelay(orequaldevice)closesinasettimetoletthe1stand2ndstepnonessentialconsumer’sbreakerstripbyshunttripdevices.

Itshallbeconfirmedthatthealarmlampsforpreferentialtripareliton.

Settingofcurrent:

For1stStep:

962x120%=1152A

Delaytime10±2s

For2ndStep:

963x120%=1152A

Delaytime15±2s

Thisdemonstrationshallbecarriedoutonceandtimefromovercurrentsupplytorelevantbreakerstrippingshallbemeasuredforreference.

TheresultsoftheabovetestarerecordedinattachedsheetE-23onpages36,37.

1.2.4Undervoltagetriptest

TheACB(aircircuitbreaker)shalltripwhenbusbarvoltagedropto180V~300V,

TheresultsoftheabovearerecordedinattachedsheetE-24onpage38.

1.3Interlockingtestofshoreconnection

InterlockingtestofshoreconnectionistoconfirmthereliabilityofinterlockingcircuitbetweenMCCBofshoreconnectionandACBofeachgenerator.

Thatis,theshorepowercircuitbreakerontheMSBcannotbeswitchedonifanyoneACBofthree(3)generatorsisinclosepositionorviceversa,anyoneACBofthree(3)generatorscannotbeswitchedoniftheshorepowercircuitbreakerontheMSBisincloseposition.

TheresultsoftheabovetestarerecordedinattachedsheetE-25onpage38.

1.4

Autostarttestforem’cygeneratorandinterlockingtestbetweenMSBandESB

Thistestshallconfirmthereliabilityofthefollowingfunctions:

1)Simulateaconditionofblack-outonbusbar,thetiebreakerbetweenMSBandESBwillundervoltagetrip,theemergencygeneratorwillbestartedautomaticallyandsupplypowertoESBwithin45seconds.

2)Afterrecoveryofpowersupplyonbusbar,atfirsttheACBofem’cygeneratortobetripped,thenthebustiebreakerbetweenMSBandESBtobeclosed,andtheem’cygeneratortobestoppedafteradelaytime.Theprocessisalsotobeautomatic.

TheresultsoftheabovetestarerecordedinattachedsheetE-26onpage38.

1.5Powermanagementsystem

Thetestmentionedbelowshallbecarriedoutinautomodefortherelativegenerators.

1.5.1Autostarttestofstandbygeneratorafterblack-out

Incaseofblack-out,thestandbydieselgeneratorsetshouldbestartedimmediatelyandconnectedtothenetworkautomatically.Thetestshallbecarriedoutaccordingtothefollowingprocedure:
