wanghuiofurbanustookthestagetopresenthisrecentworkswhicharedealingwiththedevelopmentoftheurbanlandscapeinchina.

understandingthateliminatingfarmlandinfavorofhighrisestructuresisnotasustainablemodel,hui'spresentedanewsystem

whichbringstogetherthetwoworldsofinsteadofisolatingthem.bytakingthewords'architecture'and'agriculture'and

hybridizingthemtospelltheterms'agritecture'and'archiculture'newmeaningsarecreatedandfromthatdynamicproposalscanbeestablished.

from1990to2000china'sbuiltareahasgrownfrom12,200to21,800squarekilometerswhichisan78.3percentincrease.

however,theabilitytosavehigh-qualityagriculturallandtoprovidethecountrywithfoodsecurityandsocialstabilityneedstobetakenintoaccount.

whichmeanstheprocessofurbanizationcannotmeetthepresentlowdensityrequirementswhileappreciatingthelandatthesametime.

thecapitalairportinbejing,china.itconnectsthecentralareaofbeiqijiatownandlitangroad,fromthezhongguancunbio-techparklinking

ittothejingchengexpressway.themostimportantfeatureofthemasterplanistheexistingfarmlandwhichisanon-renewablenaturalresource.

byintegratingundevelopedlandreservesintofieldsofcultivationitmergestheagricultureintotheurbanfabric

thecoreserviceareaconsistsoftwoopengreenspacesandtwohigh-densityblocks,formingayinandyangcomposition.
