Nowhereintheworldhastheissueoffemalerightsandinterestsbeensomuchdebatedasinoursociety.Nowadays,plentyofuniversitieslimitthenumberoffemalestudentswhostudyinsomeofsubjects;therefore,manypeoplethinkuniversitiesshouldacceptequalnumbersofmenandfemalestudyineverysubject,butothershaveanegativeattitude.

AsfarasIamconcerned,Ithinkmenandwomenshouldgainequaleducationalopportunities,butacceptingequalnumbersofmaleandfemale,ineverysubject,isunnecessaryandimpossible.Therefore,Idisagreewiththeviewthatuniversitiesshouldacceptequalnumbersofmaleandfemalestudentsineverysubject.Myargumentinsupportofmyviewisasfollows.Themainreasonisthatmodeofthinkingisdifferentbetweenfemaleandmale.Everyone,maleandfemale,hasequalrighttostudyinuniversities,nevertheless,duetodifferenceofinthoughtandviews.MenandWomenmayrepresentvariedstudycapability.Acaseinpointisthatmenmaypossessmoretalentthanwomeninmathematics,physicsandlikestuff.Inthestudyoflanguage,ontheotherhand,femaleshowsstrongerabilitythanmale.Inthehistoryofhumanbeings,mostscientists,especiallythosewhoresearchabstracttheories,aremale.

Anotherreasonisthatnaturedecidesdifferentdirectionsofdevelopmentbetweenmenandwomen.Today,althoughfemale’srightisbeingincreased,femalestillplaysadifferentsocialrole.Womenarebynaturegoodathousekeepingsincethebiologicalfunctionofawomanisfirsttobringchildrenintotheworldandthentobringthemupandithasbeenprovedbysomescientiststhatwomenarenotgoodatbusinessmanagement,politicaladministration,etc.So,inthestudyofbusinessandmanagement,requiringequalnumbersofmaleandfemaleisnotessential.

Fromwhathasbeendiscussedabove,wemaydrawtheconclusionthatacceptingequalnumbersofmaleandfemalestudentsineverysubjectisimpossibleandIalsodisagreewiththispointofview.

However,therearecertainlydangersintakingtimeoffatthatimportantage.Youngadultsmayendupneverreturningtotheirstudiesorfindingitdifficulttore-adapttoanacademicenvironment.Theymaythinkthatitisbettertocontinueinaparticularjob,ortodosomethingcompletelydifferentfromauniversitycourse.Butoverall,Ithinkthisislesslikelytoday,whenacademicqualificationsareessentialforgettingareasonablecareer.

Myviewisthatyoungpeopleshouldbeencouragedtobroadentheirhorizons.Thatisthebestwayforthemtogetaclearperspectiveofwhattheyarehopingtodowiththeirlivesandwhy.Studentswithsuchaperspectiveareusuallythemosteffectiveandmotivatedonesandtakingayearoffmaybethewaytogainthis.
