1.Introduction:

Inrecentyears,witheconomicdevelopmentrapidlyandopeningthoroughly,thecreditcardinourcountrygrowthrapidlyeither.Commercialbankstakecreditcardbusinessmoreandmoreseriously.Foreignbanksalsointervenecreditcardbusinessindifferentways.Thecompetitionbegantofiercegradually.Theregionalcompetitionbecomesoutstandingly.

Asamodernpaymenttool,creditcarditselfcontainscertainrisk.Howtopreventanddissolvethecreditcardseffectivelyinbusinessriskandreduceitgoloss,promotingthedevelopmentofthecreditcardbusinesshealthy,hasbecomeanimportantissuefortheorganization.Nowwetalktoacreditcardofrisks.

ICBChasthemostvarietiesofcreditcardsinChina.Nowtheyhave:

Peonycreditcard,Peonyinternationalcreditcard;Accordingtothebrand,theyhave:

Atpresent,creditriskisonethemajorrestrictionstothedevelopmentofChina’sstate-ownedcommercialbanks.Amongalltherisksareinsecurecreditassets,alargeamountandhighproportionofnon-performingloans.Thoseloans,ifirrecoverable,willbecomebaddebtsandbanks’losses.Ithasbeenprovedinpracticethatahighpercentageofnon-performingloansisthemostdangerousfactorofbankrun.Agoodexampleisnoneotherthanthebankcorruptioncausedbysubprimecrisis.Alessonlearntfromtheexperiencehomeandabroadisthatprecautionagainstcreditcrisisisofkeyimportantforstate-ownedcommercialbankstosurviveanddevelop.

Fromcreditcardbusinessstartinginourcountryin2003totoday,thenumberofthecreditcardsgrowthby80%everyyear.AttheendofMayof2008,thetotalnumberofcreditcardsinChinahasincreasedtomorethan1.1billion.However,behindhugenumber,therearemuch“bubble”,takemoneymaliciously,don’treturntheloans,theblackintermediaryformakecreditcard,cashoutorsomeotherphenomenoncan’tbestopped.Inrecentyears,someinternationalcreditcardscrimeshaveappearedinChinaeither.Whentheseriskshavegatheredandbreakout,itwillaffectmorethanoneortwoissuers,orthecountry'sfinancialsystem,eventhelevelofeconomicdevelopmentandsocialstability.

Whywechoosethisproblem?

AccordingtotheICBC’sreportofthethirdquarterin2010.Wefindthatthereare79.21billionRMBhaven’tbeenreturnedoversixmonths.Itis6.19billionhigherthanthesecondquarter,increasedby8.5%.Comparewithreportof2009,ithasbeenincreasedby0.5%.So,themostseriousprobleminICBCbankofShanghaiisitscreditrisk.Theymusthavesomemethodstosolveit.

Aboveall,itisveryimportantforICBCtosolvethecreditrisk.Theyshouldhavesomegoodmethodstoresearchthis.
