Tenvolunteersweretestedinitiallyexposedtocleanairandtheirbasicresponsesweremeasured.Thesamevolunteerswerelatertestedwithlargedoses(剂量)ofBvitaminswhileexposedtoaircontaininghighlevelsofPM2.5.Theresearchersfoundthatafour-weekBvitaminintakelimitedthePM2.5effectbybetween28-76%attengenelocations.TheyfoundasimilarreductionineffectonthemitochondrialDNA,thepartsofcellsthatproduceenergy.
