MyfriendsusuallysaidthatIhadawonderfulvoiceandIwasproudofthat.WeoncedidsomerecordingofourconversationhomeworkandIfounditwasfunnytohearmyownvoiceinthattape.TherearesomewordsandphrasesIuserepeatedlylike“Ohmygod”and“lovely”.Iamusedtocallmyfriends“Sweetie”ratherthan“Dear”.AndinfluencedbyMin-nandialect,thereisalittleaccentinmyownlanguage,especiallywhenIspeakwiththepeoplefrommyhometown.Butitisokformesinceitdenotesthedistinctivecultureinus.Besides,Min-nanChineseisnowveryprevalentinSouthern-eastAsiaandIamproudofthat.

Myplanforlanguagedevelopmentforthenextyearisasfollow,Ihopeitisspecific,measurable,attainable,realisticandtime-based.
