1.过去进行时
(1)构成:
was/were+现在分词
Hewasreadingabookat4:

(2)时间状语:
justthen,yesterdayafternoon,atninelastnight,atthis/thattimeyesterday等。

(3)与频度副词always等连用时,表示过去经常反复的动作,常常有埋怨、讨厌、赞扬或喜爱等情绪。

2.when和while
when引导的从句中的谓语动词常是比较短暂的动作,用一般时。
while引导的从句中的谓语动词常是比较长的动作,用进行时。
Mybrotherfellwhilehewasridinghisbicycle.

3.形容词
(1)形容词放在系动词后,或名词前。
(2)常见的系动词:
A.be动词(am,is,are,was,were)
B.感官动词:
look,sound,taste,smell,feel....
C.表示主语从一种状态转变到另一种状态的系动词:
grow,get,turn,become,fall,go...
D.表示主语继续或保持某种身份、特征或状态的系动词:
continue,keep,remain,stay等。
(3)形容词要放在修饰词someone,somebody,something,nothing等不定代词后。
somethingimportant.
(4)有些形容词只能作表语(放在系动词后),不能作定语。
这些形容词大多以元音字母开头。
如:
afraid,alike,alive,alone,asleep,awake,ill....

1.直接引语和间接引语
直接引语弯间接引语时要注意以下几点:
(1)人称变化:
“一随主,二随宾,第三人称不更新”

(2)时态变化:
现在变过去。
当直接引语是客观真理时,时态不变。
Shesaid,"Ihavelostapen."

(3)时间状语、地点状语、指示代词以及动词等的变化。

(4)直接引语是有明确表示过去时间的状语,变为间接引语时,一般过去时不用改为过去完成时。

(1)though=although“虽然;尽管;然而;但是”
(2)though/although不能与but连用
(3)though可以作副词,“可是,不过,话虽这样说”,although没这个用法。
