Often times the person you are being introduced to will say, “You may call me Bill”. In this case, he or she has left it up to you as to how

5、 you would like to proceed. If you continue to use his or her surname, and he or she insists otherwise, it is better to use the given name. If the person introducing you gets your name wrong, simply say, “Thank you, but my name is Karen Miller, not Karen Smith.” If you meet someone at a gathering yo
