It is expanding rapidly in foreign markets with sales of over US$ 1.8bn.Fast delivery, innovative design, and reliable quality are essential for success in the fashion busi

3、ness. Fortune Garments Chairman, Michael Chau, is proud that his company can usually accept a major order and deliver the goods to a customer within four weeks. However, globalization has brought problems in the companys overseas plants, and this is having a bad effect on its share price.Finding & s

4、olution1. Quality controlMany subsidiaries make clothing from materials supplied by several of the companys plants. Although this helps to lower costs, the materials are often of poor quality. 2. Responding to customer needsFortune Garments subsidiaries are not responding quickly to customers needs.

5、 When customers want last-minute changes to clothing, the plants can not meet customers tight deadlines. 3. DesignAs the company becomes larger, it seems to have lost its creative energy. 6、to a fashion-conscious buyer. The problem is that ideas are not shared between the companys designers. Theres not enough contact between designers at the different production centers. The designers never meet or phone each other and they rarely travel abroad. Among those three problems, I think “Qua

7、lity control” is the most serious. Products quality is the life of a company, also the soul of a company. Good products quality is the key to survive in such a competitive market from its birth to grow stronger. From the perspective of a companys development, good products quality is the premise for

8、 a company to create its own brand. From the perspective of customers and social public, the products quality is always related to their personal safety. So, a good company ought to protect customers safety with good products quality. Whether at home or abroad, every famous company, their products o

9、r services will be unable to survive without good quality. If a company wants to survive longer and to be the top of their industry, they must do much better work in products quality.If a company just focuses on the appearance of their products, and ignores their quality, they will never be successf

10、ul. Maybe, at first, they will have a lot of customers as people often judge one product by appearance at the first time. But after a period time of using, they may find the product has a lot of problems, thus they will be disappointed at it. Even, they will tell their friends not to buy it. It will

11、 cause sharp negative effects on their reputation. So, even design with fashionable appearance but without good quality will never last long.If a company does a good job in products quality, the speed they respond to customers will not be such serious. Good quality is the guarantee of good sales. If

12、 a bit longer of time can get better quality, the customers will think it worth to wait. Good quality also represents the attitude of the company. Even their responding speed is slow, their customers will understand them for their serious and careful attitude.As far as I am concerned, to increase th

13、e sales, we must control our products quality in the same standard. Whether the main parts of the company or subsidiaries should make clothing from materials supplied by the same high quality plants. Thus, the product will be produced in a same high quality standard. And more contact with staff from other subsidia

18、ries will promote the exchange of ideas so that more fashionable and creative ideas will appear. Therefore, the product will be more attractive and competitive.About the factory workers and administrative staff, the idea “Factory workers complain about their wages. They are paid according to local r

19、ates and often expected to work overtime without extra pay” is more serious. Inappropriate payment will lead to negative attitude among factory workers. When they are working, they will abreact their feeling into work, maybe they will be impatient and careless which directly related to the quality o

20、f product. In order to produce in good quality, factory workers feeling also seems to be quite important.In my opinion, to get more advice on quality and contract more, we should construct a network in our own company so as to share quality standard and ideas. It not only guarantees the quality of p

21、roduct, but also promotes the coming of fashionable and creative ideas. To stabilize factory workers emotion, our company should award those who work harder, and encourage them to lead the rest of workers to be enthusiastic to work. In this way, the workers will be active and happy to work, so that

That is to say we should make clothing from materials supplied by the same high quality plants,

23、because good products quality is the key to survive in such a competitive market Secondly, we should construct a network in our own company to share advice on quality and ideas in order to do better in quality control and produce more fashionable and creative products to attract customers eyes. Thirdly, we should establish a rewarding system so that factory workers will be willing to work harder. In this way, both quality and responding speed to customers need will be increased.
