In English, as in most languages, there are four main aspects of speaking, listening, reading and writing. I believe two activities can help all four of these. Firstly, readi
18、ng the newspaper has always been noted to be able to help improve ones English. However, I personally feel that reading books is more useful. While newspaper reading can improve your English, I feel that it may be too boring to secondary school students. There are books written for advanced users, s
19、o I am of the opinion that books are better for students to improve their English. The second activity is watching the news. I know I just said the news is boring, but I think watching the news can be interesting to students. Another advantage of watching the news is that you can learn how to use body language while speaking. Ive also noticed that there are some English newspapers in Tokyo. This is the most beneficial to learners of English. I hope my speech has been helpful to all of you. Thank you for taking the time to listen.
