6、通过单元教学,用听、说、读、写等多种形式,使学生了解computer的产生和发展过程及它在我们的学习、工作、娱乐等生活中所起的重要作用。学会表达和支持个人观点,能用所学的computer知识及相关词语来描述computer的发展史及选择不同computer的理由。激发学生对计算机的兴趣。 “热身”(Warming Up)部分用图片呈现了计算机发展的历史,让学生通过看图讨论的方式了解计算机的发展演变过程。 “阅读”(Reading)部分,编者采用了拟人化的手法向读者介绍了计算机的发展历程。 “理解”(Comprehending)部分以时间先后的顺序,通过让学生分析文中的主人公是谁和填写时间表的形

7、式帮助学生分析和归纳阅读课文中的主要信息。 “语言学习”(Learning about Language)部分的活动突出了形容词与副词用法的区别,并紧扣本单元的语法项目(现在完成时的被动语态)。 “语言运用”(Using Language)部分听写活动涉及各种形式的信息技术及不同种类的电子计算机,在读说活动中,通过一个仿人形机器人的自白向读者介绍了计算机运用的一个例子。 学习建议(Learning Tip)部分鼓励学生利用图书馆、网络等课外资源学习英语,有利于学生使用资源策略。 本单元所涉及的要点是: (一)通过学习本单元,使学生了解计算机的发展历程,及其在当今社会的广泛应用。 (二)鼓励学生

8、用英语表达自己的观点、进行简单的推理和做出决定。 (三)教会学生通过时间的先后顺序来表述一件事。 (四)使学生了解和掌握现在完成时的被动语态的用法。 (五)使学生学会写想象性作文。三. 教材重组调整及课时分配根据学生的实际情况、认知特点和教材的内容, 本备课组对内容进行了以下调整, 删减了P21 listening& writing 中的Writing和P22中 speaking and writing;P58 Listening Task; P59 Speaking Task; P60 Writing Task & Project; 增加P23Imaginative Writing(想象作文

9、)的写作技能和写作任务,同时改编了写作主题。Period 1. Warming-up & Intensive Reading 从话题内容上看P 17 Warming Up ,P18 Prereading,Reading和Comprehending都是围绕computers展开。Warming Up提供了五幅有关An abacus(算盘)、A huge computer(大型计算机)、A calculator(计算器)、A PC(个人使用电脑)、A notebook computer(笔记本电脑)的图片。Reading中以别致的标题WHO AMI?引导起学生的好奇心,使学生迫不急待地阅读这篇文章

10、,并努力猜出“I”是computer,从而对文章的内容印象更深刻。文章以第一人称的形式按时间先后顺序讲述了computers的产生、发展和现在,并用拟人化的口吻表达了computers乐于为人类服务的精神。Comprehending中exercise 1:让学生通读文章后讨论并判断出“I”是computer,然后写出文章的三个句子来支持自己的观点。exercise 2:要求学生对文章熟读并掌握细节内容。根据computers的具体发展过程在表格中填上相应的时间和发生的事件。本题从对文章总体和细节的把握上考查了学生的阅读能力。从考查特点上看,前有阅读材料,后有阅读题,它们是一个完整的体系,故可整

Extensive Reading P22Using Language中的Reading and speaking和P58 Workbook 中的READING TASK内容衔接,Reading and speaking 中通过阅读一篇文章ANDYTHE ANDROID,讨论如何设计自己的android。这样既考查了学生对文章的把握,训练了阅读能力,又考查了学生的组织材料、支持自己观点的能力,在讨论中也检查了学生的口语表达能力。可作为泛读材料来完成,故可整合为一节“泛读课”。Period 3 Learning about language& Grammar

12、 P19 Learning about Language 和P56 Workbook中的USING WORDS AND EXPRESSIONS ,USING STRUCTURES和P 20 Discovering useful words and expressions 都是练习词汇、语法的题目,可整合为一节“语言学习课”。 P 20 Discovering useful words and expressions中exercise 1:以给出意思写出相对应词汇的形式考查对WHO AMI?文章中重要词汇及短语的理解。exercise 2:根据例句练习变成含有现在完成被动语态的句子。exerci

13、se 3:以游戏的形式练习创造含有现在完成被动语态的句子。可根据时间作为选做题Period4Talking& Listening P21 Using Language中的Listening and writing和P55Workbook中的Listening & talking 在考查目的上是一致的。Using Language 中Listening and writing 是听一组有关各种信息技术的对话,在表格中填上它们各自的优、缺点,并决定现在适合自己用的一种。从训练P55Workbook中的Listening & talking目的分析,让学生用所提供的短语、句型来讨论它们之间的共同之处
