16、, this features brilliant plum blossom of different breeds all over the mountain. During the Wuyue State there used to be a Lingfeng Buddhist Temple, covered by lush and green trees. Stretches of plum trees were planted here in the Ming Dynasty and plum plantation got widely popularized during the r
17、eigns of Emperor Daoguang and Emperor Xuantong of Qing Dynasty. With a planting area of 12 hectares and about 50 varieties of plums, it has boasted a famous place for view of plums in full blossom since the 1980s.Pine-tree-banked Ancient PathIntersecting the Lingyin Road and leading to the Lingyin T
18、emple, this path features towering pine trees on both sides and came into a view as early as the Yuan Dynasty. 19、is a mountain of quartzite structure situated on the north of the Lingyin Temple. Before the Song Dynasty, there used to be a pagoda on the top of the mountain, soaring into the clouds, which, together with the South Peak, formed the name Twin Peaks Piercing the Clouds. 20、ower and a cableway (the only one of the West Lake area) have successively been set up.
