He tries to offer some ways to solve the problems in a special sort of political texts. His famous book named On Prob
4、lems of Translation-A Series of Talks Given at the Institute of Journalism was published in 1980. Cheng points out that we should lay much emphasis on political considerations, correct and thorough understanding of the original by comparing different versions of English translations.There is a confl
5、ict between China English and Chinglish in the process of translation of political texts. Zhuang Yizhuan, in his book E-C Translation a Brief Course, points out that Chinglish is often seen in English translation published in Chinese publications. There are two reasons for this phenomenon: 1 the tra
6、nslators try to give a word-for-word rendering for lack of a thorough understanding of the original; 2 they follow the Chinese collocation and sentence structure without paying enough attention to the features of the English language. On the basis of zhuangs theory, this paper will compare China Eng
7、lish with Chinglish to serve the English translation of political texts. When it comes to Chinglish, Zhao Yushan, in his book Chinese English and Translation of Current affairs teams, explains that the translation of political texts from China English perspective. He thinks that we should avoid Chin
8、glish in the process of translation. He also points out that we must understand deeply the connotation of political terms and cannot add and delete words at random. In his article, Zhao distinguishes Chinglish from China English with Chinese characteristics which supplies my paper with many referenc
9、es.Hu Zhuanglin, in his book named linguistics A course book puts forward that lexical changes are the quickest and easiest for people to notice. As far as words or expressions are concerned, they are added to English through various processes at the different levels of language. What Hu says makes
10、me know that the Chinese political words are also changing and the new words are appearing constantly. Its called “neologism” in this paper. He also thinks that connotation refers to the abstract properties of an entity, while denotation refers to the concrete entities having these properties. Its r
11、eally not an easy task to deal with the relationship between connotation and denotation in English translation of political texts.In his book Culture and Translation, Song Rongjiang holds that when we translate some words with Chinese characteristics into English, we cannot easily find appropriate a
12、nd equivalent ones in any dictionary. The reason is there are differences between China and English speaking countries in historical and cultural background, political and economic systems and social ideology etc. So according to linguistic feature of English, translators need to create English expr
13、ession which are not only in keeping with our countys culture and thought method, but also coincide with English characters to make the western people knowing better our language. This paper adopts several methodologies, such as induction and illustration etc. So a great number of examples are neede

These examples are mainly selected from Deng Xiaoping Theory in English version and The Report of the 17th national congress of C.P.C. which are extremely authoritative.This paper also absorbs a lot from books writing written by foreign experts. Newmark calls political texts as authoritative stat
15、ements, including political speeches, documents by ministers or party leaders, statutes and legal documents, scientific philosophical and academic works written by acknowledged authorities. Meanwhile, in his book About Translation Newmark believes that there is not enough straight translation of pol
16、itical texts in the press and elsewhere. The originals are often concealed in the target language versions for political reasons. He holds that political languages main use of acronyms for the titles of political parties and organizations.
