(Its like watching TV, but there are fewer advertisements.) 听完后请学生回答，核对答案。4、打开课本，让学生先看几分钟漫画。鼓励学生就

4、Eddie和Hobo的对话提问。请能力较强的学生就最后一句话发表意见。为鼓励学生做出回应，教师可提问。如：Is school fun?Is school like watching TV?When you watch TV, what do you like morethe programme you watch or the advertisements?What do you like more about school, the assembly, the classes, lunchtime or the after-school activities?接受任何合理的回答。5、学生跟随

5、录音机朗读，先集体朗读，再分角色朗读，最后表演。6、在学生掌握了漫画中有趣逗笑的信息之后，教师可将此漫画作为起点，引导学生想想有关What is school like?的话题。教师将学生发表的意见全部写在黑板上。对于能力一般的学生，可给他们一些话题作为引导。如：最喜欢的科目和课外活动、学校的日常生活、理想的上学和放学时间以及班级大小等。7、如果时间允许，可做一次小调查，收集学生的信息。调查时可使用以下问题：Do you like outdoor activities?Do you like fewer lessons?Do you like the lessons on the Intern

6、et?8、向学生展示一幅世界地图并提问：What countries do you know? Can you show us on the map? What language do they speak? 引导学生说出他们知道的国家的名称，并写在黑板上，然后向学生介绍各个国家使用的不同语言。教学时可用表格形式进行整理归纳。9、引导学生说出将英语作为主要语言或本族语言的国家：英国、爱尔兰、美国、加拿大、澳大利亚、新西兰、印度和部分非洲国家。告诉学生在每一个地区使用英语的过程中都产生了一些特殊的词、词义和发音。向学生介绍世界上英语的各种语体,告诉他们这就像我国不同地区所讲汉语也各不相同一样。1

7、0、展示英国和美国的两面国旗，告诉学生世界上最大的两个使用英语的国家：the UK和the USA。这两个国家在使用英语的过程中也有不少区别。让能力一般的学生朗读教材23页A部分列出的单词，检查他们的发音是否正确，并解释生词。让学生四人一组将单词配对，然后全班一起口头核对答案并成对朗读，注意每一组单词先读英国英语，后读美国英语，这样便于学生记忆。同时提醒学生注意同一个单词在不同的国家会有完全不同的含义，如football。11、给能力较强的学生提供更多的有关英国和美国英语的单词。如：sweetscandies, biscuitcookie, holidayvocation, trousersp

8、ants等。12、让学生自己看23页B部分的图片，并标上英语和美语单词，然后与同伴核对答案。请几名学生将答案读给大家听。然后全班一起朗读，注意每一组单词先读英国英语，后读美国英语。13、设计一个“找朋友”的游戏,让更多的学生参与进来,让学生进一步分清哪些是英式表达，哪些是美式表达。这个游戏方便教师检查学生的掌握情况。Step 3 独立训练1.
