1、基础英语课程教学大纲09修订doc “基础英语”课程教学大纲一、课程基本信息课程名称:基础英语英文名称:Comprehensive English课程编号:05405101课程类别:专业基础课教学对象:英语专业(师范类)本科生学 时 数:总学时414,周学时6开课学期及授课时间:第14学期第118周(第1学期军事训练、入学教育2周;第3学期生产劳动1周)二、课程概述基础英语课是高等学校英语专业(四年制)基础阶段的主干课程。本课程参照英语专业低年级和高年级教学大纲对学生英语综合运用能力的要求,力求从听、说、读、写各个方面提高学生的英语语言综合运用能力,为学生今后的专业课学习奠定基础。三、教学任务
2、与目的通过本阶段的学习和训练,学生应牢固掌握英语的基本语音、基本语法和基本词汇;在此基础上能正确熟练地应英语进行听、说、读、写,达到进行交际的目的,为学生进入高年级学习打下坚实的基础。具体地说,基础阶段的学生通过本门课的学习应该系统掌握下列英语语言基础知识:1)语言体系知识(Knowledge Of language system)指语音、词汇和语法结构等方面的内容。2)话语知识(Knowledge Of discourse)不仅能得体地用语言进行意义交流,还可进行情感交流。3)英语国家的社会文化知识(Culture)。学生在学习英语的同时接受到比较系统的文化知识的熏陶。还应具有以下几方面的能
3、力:1)学习者的学习策略能力(Learners strategies)具有正确的学习策略。2)语言思维能力(Higher-order thinking ability)。学习者能用英语进行符合交际要求的思维活动。3)语言教师的职业能力(Professionalism) 在学习语言的同时得到初步的职业训练。四、建议教材及参考书目建议教材:现代大学英语(精读),杨立民主编,外语教学与研究出版社。该教材为普通高等教育“十五”国家级规划教材。参考书目:1、高等学校英语专业教学大纲,上海外语教育出版社,外语教学与研究出版社,2000。2、高校英语专业四级考试大纲,上海外语教育出版社,2004。3、综合英
4、语教程1-4册(学生用书),邹为诚主编,高等教育出版社,2005。4、综合英语教程1-4册(同步练习),邹为诚主编,高等教育出版社,2005。5、综合英语教程1-4册(教师用书),邹为诚主编,高等教育出版社,2005。五、教学方法建议现代大学英语(精读)及同步测试,共15单元,每单元有六大部分组成:准备活动(Warm-up)、背景知识(Background Information) 、课文赏析(Text Appreciation)、练课后习(Exercises)、拓展练习(Extension)以及同步测试(Synchronous Tests)。一年级使用现代大学英语一、二册,二年级使用现代大学
5、英语三、四册。每册15课,每课约10课时,每周6课时。每学期自学34单元,一学期一册书,根据学期的长短稍作删减。10课时中,前2课时处理课前预习及背景知识介绍;接下来3课时讲解课文,主要包括对课文内容和主题的理解,风格和写作手法的赏析,以及重要语言语法现象的精讲;再用3课时讲解处理课后练习;随后1课时处是集中的口语及听力练习,形式丰富多样。最后1课时处理单元测验,练习经过了精心设计,是这套精读教材的另一重要部分。题型包括口头和笔头、词汇和语法两个方面。围绕课文的问答题由浅及深,先是帮助学生抓大意,再解决难点,最后要求学生熟练问答、复述、讨论,也就是我们在前四课时完成的东西。词汇练习体现了对搭配
6、、重点词、短语动词、动词使用模式、常见句型以及一词多义、同义词、反义词辨析等等的系统训练;语法有三部分,有对新项目的初步观察介绍、对重点项目的反复训练以及对诸如冠词、介词、动词形式等老大难问题的细水长流的复习。单元测验旨在督促和检查学生对所学单元内容的掌握,包括单词拼写,听写,完成句子,和就课文内容回答问题等形式。精读课重在“精”,因此以教师课堂讲解为主;同时,为了提高学生参与的积极性以及独立工作能力,启发学生思考,加深对课文的理解,能够学以致用,采取提问,课堂辩论,小组讨论等形式,并安排学生做口头陈述。为了丰富学生的学习内容,在现有条件下为学生放映与课文相关的录像。每单元教一至两个常用的交际
7、功能,以对话的形式介绍给学生。学生的口语练习,从有控制的对话开始,逐步过渡到半开放性的训练。最后,学生要能够在预定的场合中,得体地表达这种语言功能。六、教学设备及手段本课程一周授课三次,其中至少有一次在多媒体教室,可以充分利用现代教学设备,教师制作课件,提高课堂教学质量和效率;除此之外每位教师都配备录音机一部,供在普通教室授课使用。七、作业每单元布置作业,作业分为课内作业和课外作业。课内作业主要是教材课后练习和同步测试和课文单词听写;课外作业主要是文章听写、专四词汇听写、课外经典短文背诵和自学单元。作业成绩作为教学记录中平时成绩的主要依据。八、考核方式与成绩评定本课程为考试,主要考核学生英语语
8、言综合知识和语言技能的应用,试题题型较为全面。学生总评成绩 平时成绩(30%) 期末考试成绩(70%)九、教学内容及学时分配1、 教学内容基础英语课开设两学年,共四个学期,使用的教材全书共四册,每学期一册,分别由学生用书、教师用书、同步测试和教学多媒体课件组成。各册具体教学内容及计划如下:1)第一学期本学期使用现代大学英语(精读)第一册,共15单元,每单元有六大部分组成:准备活动(Warm-up)、背景知识(Background Information) 、课文赏析(Text Appreciation)、课后练习(Exercises)、拓展练习(Extension)以及同步测试(Synchro
