The IFS Enterprise Explorer is a Restricted Production Release, see Chapter 1.4.1.2 Release DateRelease date is July 10, 2009.1.3 Released Sales Parts and Components

Note that IFS Solution Manager and IFS Term Application will be run as IFS Enterprise Explorer clients also without this technical component.In FNDBAS the IFS Rich Web Client framework is replaced with IFS Enterprise Explorer framework.The following components in

The release plan for removing the restrictions can be found on the Aurora Rollout section on the IFS WIS Web: With IFS Enterprise Explorer

13、it is possible to start implementations, which means: Porting of Windows Clients built as localizations, extensions, customizationsA central porting team will help out with the porting and support work. All projects running IFS Enterprise Explorer must due to that be sanctioned by ARRG (Aurora Rollo

14、ut Reference Group). Please contact the ARRG representative before starting any IFS Enterprise Explorer implementations. 1.4.1 General Limitations in IFS Enterprise ExplorerIFS Enterprise Explorer introduced in Foundation1 7.5 SP4 includes most of the functionality recognized from IFS Windows Client

IFS Enterprise Explorer includes the following limitations: Development of new Application Forms is currently only supported by porting IFS Windows Clients. o Note: IFS Enterprise Explorer development tools includes the IcePorter product, 2009 Ice Tea Group. IcePorter is licensed for use on comput

16、ers under the control of the IFS group to convert IFS Applications code and customizations. Usage of IcePorter on computers outside IFS group or converting non-IFS Application code and customizations is a license agreement violation. 22、 SP4 the IFS Rich Web Client framework has been replaced with the IFS Enterprise Explorer framework. This affects IFS Solution Manager and IFS Term Application.We recommend customer running on IFS Applications 7.5 SP3 and earlier to upgrade Foundation1 to SP4. 23、pport pages on the WIS Web With the complementary patches delivered according to the Aurora Rollout plan ( a possibility to upgrade old Saved Queries to Saved Searches will be available. No other parts of the user profile in IFS Windows Client will be possible to upgrade to IFS Enterprise Explorer.D

24、ue to upcoming changes in the user profile storage format, some settings saved in the IFS Enterprise Explorer will be reset when applying coming complementary patch sets. Selections and output channel profile settings will be lost. Saved Searches now created in the IFS Enterprise Explorer are not gu

25、aranteed to be saved.1.6 Technical ConfigurationMicrosoft .NET Framework 2.0 is a mandatory pre-requisite to be installed on all client machines before IFS Enterprise Explorer can be started. Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 is available as download from Microsoft, or from Windows Update.The porting pro

26、cess and tools are certified on Windows XP 32-bit and Windows Vista 32-bit.IFS Enterprise Explorer supports Windows XP Professional SP2 and later, including Windows Vista and Windows Server 2003/2008.
